Other than someone who we found out later had psychotic episodes I've never seen anyone act like that from pot. (And he didn't even act like this person he just got very paranoid)

I'm not saying it's not possible, but I feel like blaming the edibles is a bit too easy here.

I believe gravity is more at fault than mar1juana. Also if it was his first time doing it I can't imagine why they would take edibles. So much stronger than smoking. I knew a kid who ate a weed brownie for his first time. Dude sat on the couch for 5 hours then had munchies. Destroying things then leaping to his death? Oooooookay.

    No it's completely doable kids

Stop buying pot in Colorado. You're making the lines too long. Grrrr. I can't just swing into the store on the way to the movies ,,, they make me take a number. 35 minute waits

And if you do want to risk going cray when on pot and crowding the stores. Please STOP asking a bunch of sorority girl sauce question like. "What is that like? What does it do?" "Ooh can I smell that" Like you will know the difference. Just buy something and get out of line b****es

But best thing is is to not even get in line. It can make you go crazy just don't do it

I heard the (independent) dealers are still in a good source and now selling more for less and with free delivery! You wouldn't know anything about that though would you?;)

so your friend had a cannabis induced episode?

I've seen it before with people having an anxiety attack (which is funny because you can be prescribed mar1juana for anxiety) or they think they are having a heart attack- this is obviously just classic paranoia like you mentioned.

I started researching the link when a friend of mine smoked a joint, then had a psychotic break, tore the shower curtain off the wall, then had to be hospitalized with what they later called a "schizophrenic-like/psychotic episode".

his doctors obviously told him to lay off the weed.

if a small percentage of the population can become dependent on it, and an even smaller percentage can suffer from such episodes, I think it is important to at least discuss, rather than laugh it off or chalk it up to a first time rookie mistake or a noob that can't handle his high.

all in all, a pretty bizarre case.

Yeah, I knew a guy whose parents put him in rehab after he did some stupid stuff on it. It's naturally to get a little paranoid or think you're having a heart attack, I did my first time. Just like I got paranoid the first time I drank, or the first time I had heartburn from eating too much junk.

What pisses me off is how everyone picks a few select deaths or accidents to argue against legalization. How many stories are there of people doing stupid or deadly stuff when they're drunk? A lot.

Honestly it was weird. I smoked with him once before (his first time), and he had the typical response -- giggly, happy, sleepy.

A couple years later I smoked with him again (he hadn't smoked since the first time), and he started acting more antisocial than usual. He didn't go crazy and tear up anything, but basically he said he was having homicidal thoughts because he thought someone was making fun of him. (apparently he has had homicidal thoughts before, needless to say we don't hang out anymore) There were a few girls over the second time (he might have actually gotten laid if he didn't have his little episode) and he thought they were talking about him for some reason.

I think it's just a case that certain people can't/shouldn't be smoking. That's the first and only time I've ever seen anything like that, and I've smoked with a looooot of people.
This person is obviously one of those people who shouldn't have been partaking, like I said earlier I think blaming mar1juana is the easy (stupid) way out.
