There is no plausible pre-draft scenario that could lead to us needing another PG. We have 3 rotation PG's as is.

Yeah, you should always take the BPA, but there will be higher upside players available whenever we pick.

Wrong. We drafted Terrence Jones when we had 6 PFs. We drafted Aaron Brooks when we had 3 PGs. It doesn't matter which position, if it's the BPA, that's who we'll draft.

It isn't just about the BPA. Right now, Napier is a better player than most players projected to go in the 20's and above.

The obvious deciding factor is how to account for upside. Much like I'm sure DM doesn't regret taking TJ over a Jared Sullinger type that, at the time, was a much more polished and NBA-ready player; teams will take players with more upside over Napier.

"Best player available" becomes a somewhat misleading term in these sort of situations.

I'm Napier's biggest proprietor, but I just don't see us drafting him, even with a 2nd rounder. We are loaded right now at the point and Canaan is progressing quickly. He will flourish in a fast-paced offense somewhere though.

In the case of Morey, I think it mainly mostly he does not care about positional logjams or questions of rotation fit. Coach's problem.

You want to draft Napier? The dude was trying to do too much, Ollie pulls him and Boatright steered the ship back the right direction. The Huskies were reeling and the fix was pulling Napier. The guy obviously has talent, but he doesn't play smart team ball... which is what the Rockets need. He's a PG that doesn't know how to set up a team. I would take a look at other games by the man, but if this championship is an indicator of Napier-ball, I'd pass.

    ...I do like that he's a 4yr player though.

If only he were a few inches taller.

Of course, at the end of the 1st round, it is hard to get good value. I guess I'd prefer an international player in our spot.

TJ Warren. That's my target so far. I doubt he drops to our pick, but I'd love to see us trade up to get him. He can score all kinds of ways and he's an all-arounder, so he can help even when he's not shooting.

I will admit it, I was completely wrong about Muhammad.

Oh wait, who are we talking about?

What do you mean Ollie pulls him? He almost played the whole game and only sat for a few minutes. Quit making stuff up.

Boatright steered the ship back? He couldn't even run the right plays and that's why Napier pushed him into place. This was maybe the 2nd or 3rd time he ran the wrong play.

Napier doesn't know how to set up a team? What on earth are you smoking? That's all that he does. Napier has one of the highest bball IQs in college basketball. He did have some turnovers, but Kentucky has one of the most athletic teams in the NCAA, and it was the biggest game this year. He made mistakes, but he also made big shots and made big plays.

It happened after the push. The team started playing timid and lost the lead. Feel free to watch the game again if it makes you feel more informed and less inflammatory towards me. Ollie pulled him, probably spoke to him about playing team ball, puts him back in and let him be a team player again.

Also, smart players don't make low trajectory passes between a guys legs to a big man who will obviously struggle to get to the pass. He was trying to play hero ball. Brimah came in in the first half and the team started playing well. He had a block and 4 rebounds, was hustling but never got rewarded on the offensive end, then, surprise surprise, he started looking disinterested on defense. If Napier was such an amazing basketball player who was getting his team involved, I'm pretty sure he would have given Brimah 2 easy measly points next to the basket, but he didn't.

22 points. 3 assists. Yeah, team guy. He made some great offensive plays for himself, but I didn't see him making his players better. Unless of course, you mean when he shoved his own player in the middle of a play to encourage him to play better. ...because a player going 5 for 6 in a championship game should be shoved and told to play better.
