I really really really like Jeremy Lin. I want him to succeed. I think his story is tremendous, and I'm inspired by it. But watching him play scared is killing me. Watching him pass up open shots is killing me. If you're in the rotation and you don't believe in your own shot, particularly with your role in this team, then you don't have any business being out there. Also kills me to see PG's roll right past him to the lane, creating havoc along the way.
I like him too, and really want him to succeed. I am very surprised, that he is so mentally fragile. He used the word devastating, referring to a potential loss against Denver. Perhaps he is right, but Harden and Chandler are much more confident in him. Jeremy has quite a lot of experience by now. He is very capable of doing a good job, and is not being held back. He doesn't have to be perfect. Canaan is just a kid, who doesn't know much. He looked more confident than Lin in his post game interview. We need Bev back bad, even more than Howard. That should make things easier for Lin to some extent.
Disagree with: Tank commander MCW - Bigger TO problem than Lin, 25% from deep, horrible FT%, one of the worst TS% in the league Vasquez - plays the 2 half the time, no longer the playmaking and boards guy he was last year Rubio - you wanna see someone get within 1 foot of the rim but keep his dribble alive because he's too scared to shoot, watch Rubio Hill, Chalmers - short poor man's versions of Ray Allen, just curl screens all day and catch and shoot, couldn't run an offense to save their life Tank commander Marshall - I'm a Laker fan and appreciate this guy but he sucks at everything except passing. His defense is a black hole. Only shoots when the defender gives him 5 feet of space, and still goes 0/6 every other game. Nelson - worst starting 1 in the east is a toss up between him, Felton, and Wolters Collison - basically the cheaper version of Lin
Certainly they are. We aren't going to win without Howard, but Asik's performance inspires confidence at the 5. Lin isn't able to do that at the 1, even after having a good game. I don't expect consistency from him. Hope he will prove me wrong.
Lin is playing hurt and hiding injury yet again going into this post season. Pain that don't let him break down the defense and get to the rim like he used to. It would have been better to Rondo in a trade to contend this post season.
These are basically my sentiments about Lin. Lin's confidence is too easily shaken and when his confidence is low, he is basically useless on the court. Canaan still has a long way to go but I have more confidence in him than Lin because Lin doesn't have much confidence in himself a lot of the time. Why should fans have a lot of confidence in a player if he's easily shaken? Lin's mental makeup is what's going to keep him from becoming all that he possibly could be. In the mean time, Rox don't need any mental midgets out there in big time games playing significant minutes. I so hope Lin can get over his confidence issues because he is a significant part of the rotation. If he can't get over his confidence issues than no, he doesn't need to be out there.
Not really. He's making a reference to the flick Total Recall. The good original version with Arnold and Sharon Stone, not the lame ass remake.
One can play well and still be on the losing team. One can play poorly and still be on the winning team.
Lin is the worst PG in Houston Rockets history. That is saying something considering we have had some awful PGs through the years. We have had great bigs but some atrocious PGs. Lin is WORSE than MALONEY, SLEEPY FLOYD and RAFER.
Lin seems to have on-going injury problems. Maybe he can't take big minutes in the NBA? He certainly gets emotionally flustered very easily. He is not playing like he deserves minutes in the playoffs.
