Almost all mock drafts I have seen have Jernigan going 14-16. I've seen him as high as 10. At 37 that is an absolute steal. Getting the #2 rated player in the draft at #6 was a huge win. If the draft actually shaped out this way for the Falcons I think they would be ecstatic. They can pick up a G or TE later in the draft if the value is right.
With the 40th pick, the Vikings select..... DEE FORD - DE AUBURN They need to replace Jared Allen. I'm on the clock.
With the 41st pick, the Buffalo Bills select...... XAVIER SU'A FILO - OG UCLA Speaking on behalf of the whole Buffalo Bills organization ... Frankly, we were surprised Xavier was still there. After grabbing Taylor, who we feel is going to be GREAT..I thought we'd head in a different direction, but seeing as there were further concerns about the line ....And we're getting the kind of value you look for. Xavier is first round talent.. Why not have these guys pave the way for C.J. and E.J now?...grow up together.
Okay, Juicystream. With the 42nd pick, the Tennessee Titans select..... TRE MASON - RB AUBURN The release of Chris Johnson demands it. I'm up AGAIN.
With the 43rd pick, the New York Giants select...... ALLEN ROBINSON - WR PENN ST. Ebron and Robinson should be on the receiving end of quite a few Manning passes (eating up a lot of yards and scoring many TDs) over the next several years. Rams/iball on the clock
With the 44th pick, the St. Louis Rams select... Joel Bitonio, OT, Nevada After picking skill position players on both sides of the ball in round 1, it's time to shore up the offensive line. Detroit Lions (rezdawg) on the clock
With the 45th pick in the 2014 NFL draft, the Detroit Lions select: Lamarcus Joyner, CB, Florida St University The Lions head into the draft with their most pressing needs at OLB and in the secondary. With the first pick, they got their much needed edge rusher in Barr. With this pick, they start solidifying their secondary. Joyner, despite being small, has very good football skills...he's a ballhawk, similar to Tyrann Mathieu. He will step right in and contribute, moving around from corner, to slot corner, to safety. Too good of a player to keep on the sidelines. He'll also contribute to the return game as well, if needed.
Ugh, I keep checking this thread at the wrong time. We needed more specific times. I like both my picks though.
With the 46th pick the Steelers select: Stephon Tuitt , DE/DT, Notre Dame Theyll get a tremendous DT to finally replace Casey Hampton, yet still has the skill and quickness to play on the outside. Wanted Joyner of Fuller but that was not to be obviously.
