Harden was pretty nonchalant after hitting that 3.

    Smooth!!!

Probably because he was really tired at that point and realized "oh crap, now I have to play 5 more minutes".

He did seem to resort to a lot of ISO-ball and waiting til there were 5 or 6 seconds left in the clock in OT before making a move. Luckily he made some outstanding plays like that pass to Parsons in the corner.

I didn't watch the game today but glad the Rockets won in OT. I also checked out box score and found Aaron Brooks had 24p and 15a. It was interesting to find all PGs who left the Rockets did much better as a PG in other teams. Their numbers have all gone up one way or another. It may be coincident but may be something else. just saying.

Hope the Rockets will win again at LA Lakers. that game should be winnable.

ESPN has yet to acknowledge Harden's clutchness or that the Rockets even had a game at all last night, meanwhile some dude went on and on about Lebron's 61 point game that happened a month ago, SMH. What happened to ESPN?

It's either Lebron or Durant. Simply put, they sell.

Entertainment and Sports Programming Network. Really is too bad, because they reach enough viewers to offer better programming as well as show great analysis. Analysis sometimes is good, but it depends on who they have talking on screen at the moment. It's all about ratings, and talking about Lebron, Durant and whatever else is popular is the way to go unfortunately.

ESPN is focused on frontrunners and big markets.

When we beat OKC, at the end the announcers stated, "And the Houston Rockets have prevailed over OKC, playing without Westbrook..." But nothing about Houston being without Dwight and Pat.

When we beat Miami, at the bottom of the ESPN screen they scrolled the score and then listed how many points LeBron had and how many Dwyane had....but NOTHING on Rockets' scores.

When we played LAL at the end of last season: "If the Lakers win this game, they get 7th seed..." Uh, dude: WHICHEVER TEAM WINS THIS GAME GETS THE 7th SEED. But since there are more g.d. Lakers fans in the world (bandwagoners, movie stars, and pond scum) than Rockets fans, well....that's ESPN for you.

    It's grotesque and pathetic

I knew AB was going to go nuts! Canaan did some great damage as well. Garcia finally attacking the basket and finishing, that dunk was a nice surprise, he threw it down with authority!!

I think the bench did actually very good. I have great confidence in Cisco performing when it counts. The bench once again brought the Rockets back to the game. The bench shot a very solid 46.7% from the 3PT land. In my opinion, the bench will do its part in the playoffs. To think that the Rockets do not have depth is a mistake.

Good points! I would say that it is poor journalism and very unprofessional. These people belong to the reality shows.

It's poor journalism, but then is sports reporting really journalism? They call themselves "Sports Journalists", but the reliance on the good will of NBA franchise ownership, management and players creates an inherent conflict of interest.

Criticize a franchise too much and you end up persona non grata. Don't give enough coverage to big markets and they lose audience.

ESPN caters to the bulk of its readers and the teams that they rely on for access. And that's something I don't see changing.

I remember them being better, especially the jokes and the energy, now they are so corny and boring. The stories were moe interesting also, I used to able to just leave the tv in my office on Sportscenter all day, now I cannot.

Every word of this is true, lol. The funniest thing this season has been the back to backs on ESPN. They talked about how good OKC and Miami are on second nights of Back to Backs then when we beat them "OOOH Lebron was tired" "OKC didn't have Westbrook" when we lost to OKC on the second night of a back to back, all they talked about for weeks was Houston's "Second Half Collapse" no mention of us being tired at all... shameful. I believe ESPN literally hates Dwight Howard.

Why do people care about what ESPN puts out?

I remember one ESPN radio segment where one writer stated that they believe Howard gets less coverage or hostile coverage as he is currently disliked by a number of sports reporters, and as such this results in unconsciously skewed coverage.

I suspect this is still hangover from the Orlando debacle, the firing of Stan Van Gundy (SVG is VERY popular as a coach in the media as he is likable, blunt and provides great sound bites), the reported conflicts of Dwight and Kobe (who is a media darling), and his leaving the Lakers.

I fully expect it will take Dwight some time to move beyond his past.

Haven't we learned that there is East Coast bias?
