That's fine. I was under the impression you were over critical of Pac and Lin. I've said many times I actually like Mayweather and am a fan of is, but I never heard you say before a nice thing about Pacquiao. I may have missed your other posts so maybe its the sample size.

For you to say I hate black people? That's funny because I am a fan of many black athletes and celebrities, and have many friends who are black in Houston and other States. That's a description of someone who hates black people? Ok. I do hate hypocrisy and I've been compelled to voice my opinion when I see outright ignorance and if that tends to be certain pro-black posters then maybe it seems like it's "anti-black". At the core of it, its about hypocrisy that I felt needed to be addressed.

If I had read this thread before voting, I would have voted "Yes" as I am sure many others have just to stick it to you for even going there. No one is comparing Lin to Robinson they are only trying to use him as an example of why they feel the way they do to make a point.

I only got angry at the hypocrisy of certain posters and their displays of ignorance. I never said anything insinuating I didn't like black people. You shouldn't say things like that unless you have proof.

 

It's a stupid point. Jackie Robinson went through death threats, segregation, the Klan, players trying to kick his ass, fans spitting at him and calling him slurs. There's no comparison. On top of that, Robinson was an MVP and a Hall of Famer. Lin is a backup point guard with a $25 million contract. It's insulting to compare whatever racism Lin experiences to what happened in Jackie Robinson's era. It's just not comparable, at all.

While most LOF's are insane and I, myself, don't feel Lin is that good of a player, I can see where that guy is coming from and why he has all that anger. For the record I'm not calling you a racist by any means, but you do have to admit that unfortunately racism towards Asians in this country is a lot more tolerated and accepted than it should be. And racism towards Asians also seems to get brushed off more. It's like when Mayweather told Pacman to make him some sushi rolls and everyone thought it was funny...imagine the backlash if it was Pacman that told Mayweather to make him some fried chicken or something.
