YES! YES! I'm only worried about two teams; LAC and OKC

Playing either one of those teams in the first round is a gift. 4-2 without Bev, easily.

i think the portland series would really go 6-7 games with us winning. the GSW is either a 5 game series in our favor or 7 game series with GSW coming out with the upset.

you never know in the playoffs and if lillard and aldrige play like all-stars then they could definitely steal a few games. if GSW shoots insanely well they can take the series with just 4 nights of 3 point bombs.

Why are people scared of GSW? We've had their number the last 2 seasons

Easily. The Warriors can get hot and steal a couple, but I don't think the Rockets would have too much trouble with them. AS for the Blazers I don't see the Rockets being pushed past 5 games in a series (assuming everyone is healthy).

I would rather play portland, ithink we would have bigtime trouble facing GS.

Bogut+Oneal can take dwight out his rythm all series long, and igoudala would def give harden a tough time scoring. If i remember correctly he did a real good job on james last year, dont really remember anything this year.

Curry and thompson also scare me with the 3 point shooting, and weve already seen david lee abuse jones on the bloc time and time again.

I hope for the Blazers but i dont care if its GS because i feel (hope) we can beat both in a 7 game series, but i would MUCH rather face Portland.

If healthy, Rockets beat either in 5 or 6.
If series goes 7 will be disappointing, win or lose. Less disappointing if we win of course.

It's not that I'm scared of them, it's just that GSW will give the Clippers fits and I want nothing to do with them in the first round.

Rockets in 5 at full strength against Portland
Rockets in 6 at full Strength against GS.
Rockets in 6 at full Strength against Dallas
Rockets in 5 at full Strength against Suns
Rockets in 6 or 7 at full Strength against Memphis

The bottom half of the NBA does not, and should not scare the Rockets. The 2nd round is when it gets real, pending a upset.

It is the playoffs, the Rockets will get a challenge from whoever they play. The Rockets are not the 72-10 Bulls and the Western Conference is stacked. Virtually every series in the Western Conference will be competitive.

You should be worried about the Spurs as well. They rested players throughout the season and still will win close to 65 games in a very competitive and deep Western Conference.

The mentality some posters have that Rockets versus Spurs is a guaranteed Rockets win and a Rockets versus Clippers series is a guaranteed lose is simply false. The playoffs are a completely different animal.

What is Beverley is only 80%? What if Howard is limited? What if Harden scores 35 a night on über efficiency? What if Paul gets hurt like Westbrook? What if the Rockets figure out how to limit Griffin? What if Reddick and Crawford are ineffective?

A lot can happen in a 7 game series... A team better be clearly more talented to conclusively say whom the winner is with certainty.

No NBA team is going to shoot lights out 4 games in a row. That's why I don't fear teams like Warriors or Blazers. Thunder, Spurs, and Clippers can score in many other ways besides the 3-ball.

I'd still rather have Portland. They have virtually no playoff experience on that roster. They're not a good defensive team. And they're far more likely to fall into that mental trap of just being happy to be there as opposed to the Warriors who don't wanna lose in the first round after making it to the second round a year ago.

That being said, the Rockets should be able to knock off either team.

Am I crazy or did this same thing happen last year, and he came back on one leg in the first round?

I'd watch out for Harrison Barnes to step in and look like the 2012/13 version of himself again.

Losing Lee isn't the end of the world for them honestly. I actually think he has a tendency to slow their pace down when they should be more uptempo.

How well GSW does in the playoffs has to do with one thing and one thing only- Can Steph Curry and Thompson stay hot or will they be off? If they are going off from 3 they can beat anyone.

I rather have POR over GSW.

GSW can get hot in a hurry, Bev can shut down Lillard. Shouldn't be more than 5 games IMO.

Teams that scare me, in order: OKC, LAC, GSW.

The rest I think we can beat.

If we go POR in first & SAS in 2nd I think we have a shot at the Finals.
