LOL! Records are meant to be broken, Dirk's an amazing player and will probably go down as the best Stretch 4 in the history of the game.

    NO.

Dirk stole his 1 legged shot from Dream and Duncan well... he's boring. Whatever, once again, **** Dallas, the Mavericks and the Spurs!!

I HATE Dirk but he has some major game.

Very talented player and as much as I hate admitting it, he will go down as one of the best to play this game.

Hakeem played against better competition at the center position, so he at least wins the tie breaker.

Duncan's really great... but come on. Hakeem > Duncan.

I can give Duncan the edge on 1:1 defense, but Hakeem was a more disruptive force on defense on the whole.

On offense, Duncan has never been able to post up and score at will like Hakeem did. He's got a better jumper, but that doesn't close the gap all the way.

Houston people need to get over their insecurity of being in Dallas' shadow. Are we? No. Stop b****ing about them all the time.

Duncan's greatness stretched far longer than Hakeem, but in their prime Dream takes it hands down.

    Hahaha. No.

Dirk is nowhere close to Dream, just like Karl Malone is not close to Dream even though Malone is even higher on the all time list. And I'd take Malone over Dirk as well.

    fixed

    Very true

    Bird
    Dirk
    Durant

Knowledgeable fans know that trio's significance. Nash can be added as well.

    Good info

Give Hakeem Duncan's teammates and Popovich.
    GOAT in any era.

Hakeem was top 4 in MVP voting just four times. For comparison Durant will surpass him in MVP shares this season, he will already be top 2 four times. Duncan stats are superior, he was better offensive, defensive player and better rebounder, better longevity, more accolades and he was better in his prime too. Dirk vs. Hakeem is closer than Duncan vs. Hakeem IMO, Duncan is 4th best player ever behind MJ/Kareem/Russell all things considered..

Huh? WTH are you even on about?
The post I responded to was about Dirk and Timmy having earned the right to stand next to Dream and how even though we can and should say F the Mavs and Spurs we shouldn't deny the greatness of Dirk and Timmy?
    What's your issue?
No one is talking about "close". Whatever that means.
All of them are GREAT players that are in the HOF or will be in the HOF upon retirement. Hence they can stand next to Dream as champions and HOFers.

    Problem?
