He took an elbow to the face from Parsons. I doubt he was faking the way his head snapped back on that one.
This thread is awesome and all, but did you notice how the OP and most of the individual posts suck and are written by haters? Overall great thread though. Would give 5 stars if I felt like it. . . .
regular season games are not intense. In crunch time or playoffs, being slow to get up or getting hurt easily will make you vulnerable. People will be tougher on you to seize an upper hand. Harden is a tough player physically. But he is easily hurt. He creates a lot of contact going to the hoop but it is all in his control. He hates toughness in hustle plays or in D. You couldnt see that stuff from mj, bird or magic. Today's superstars are the free throw machines. We all know the flu game, or iverson drank his own blood when his mouth bleed in playoffs to stay in the game. This is the mentality of a champion. I dont want to see Lin looks like he's about to cry everythime he got hit. Or harden acts like he was shot when he fumbles. In toronto game, DeRozan got stiches to his hand in sideline and returned to game like it was nothing. Nowitzki beat the heat in final series' last game with a fewer and didnt even say a word. Thats how harden suppose to be in my humble opinion.
So all you wanna be pro basketball players think you can take the physical abuse Harden takes? And that Parsons elbow looked like it rang Hardens bell. That OKC game looked like it was approaching playoff intensity. Two heavy weight NBA clubs ramping up the intensity in anticipation of a playoff series.
Harden only had one FI (Fake Injury) this game, and wasn't until overtime. Must've seen this thread and decided to turn a new leaf. Props to him. You're welcome ClutchFans and Rocket Fans across the world!!! Sincerely, Houstunna James took over in the final minutes after his shot was mostly off. Defense wasn't too shabby down the stretch and got steals throughout. Good game, Beard.
