    The Mavericks are 10 years younger and they still have 3 more 50 win seasons. Let's not celebrate just yet.

    Bad analogy.

    If Dirk had suffered injuries similar to Yao, Dallas' position would not nearly be the same.

    Random luck has a MUCH larger impact on long term success in the NBA than many will admit.

    That might be relevant if a massive 7'6" center getting injured were considered random or bad luck by any reasonable person.

    great accomplishment but it is not the main rivals' records are irrelevant.

    Houston will always be in competition with San Antonio and Dallas. That's the way things are, were and will be and it is good so.

    Time to celebrate for one day and off to new goals!
