Yeah, looks like they're gonna move up that timeline. In the books it was pretty boring. GRRM really got lost in the weeds in "A Feast for Crows".

I thought the Stoneheart/Dondarrion scene should have been the first scene of the new season, kick it off with a bang. Not that I've seen the episode, but nothing I've read indicates Stoneheart appears in the first three episodes.

So the first episode will probably follow along the lines of every Episode 1: A little plodding, with one or two kick-a action scenes.

And Stoneheart will be some late-season surprise, as in SoS, where she appears at the very end.

Well... sort of. She's with Littlefinger and he's steering her. I think it's up to interpretation whether you can call that "free" or not.

There is a new quiznos commercial that might have ruined what happens with joffrey. If so, that is pretty messed up.

If people took that seriously then they would think John is going to get pushed off the wall as well.

I didnt even take that as John Snow for some reason. I just meant the last part of someone being poisoned. That is what happens apparently. I would have rather it been a surprise.....I ended up looking into it...so it was partly my own fault for verifying. Still they should have released it after the purple wedding.

Stoneheart can't be in the beginning because her body has to decompose and whatnot.

Robs will might have legitimized Jon.

Onion Knight is out looking for Rickon

Also, up in the air what happened at winterfell when fake Arya was getting married..

Bran finally makes it to the 3 eyed raven who turns out to be Bloodraven.

And Aegon Targaryen also appears.. Not sure if he's the real deal!

Lots of things up in the air now.

with the royal wedding coming up in this second episode, how do they play out sansa's escape?

they brought back ser dontos but they made no mention of a plan to escape, it obviously happens this season since she is away from king's landing in the trailers

Perhaps they have boiled that plot point down from a long, drawn out plan to just a decision that Dontos makes spur-of-the-moment after Joffrey croaks. He sees an opportunity to get her away from there (appropriately seeing the danger she would be in when investigation begins into Joffrey's death) and Littlefinger steps in somewhere to "help" with the escape.

This is the reply on a post in the unspoiler version of this thread, but I think it should be in this thread:

This is a spoiler from the first chapter of wind of winter apperantly when browsing on internet you read about that.
The kill of Polliver in the show was in the same way as she kills Rafford in the books, Rafford was also the one who killed her friend. In the series they combined Rafford and Polliver (Rafford killed her friend, Polliver took Needle), and let that combined character die in the way Rafford dies, at the moment in time, and place were Polliver dies.

Since they already had the Tickler killed by Jaqen H'ghar at harrenhal, they used a random Lannister soldier to die the way the tickler died in the books (at the end of season 3 at the camp fire).

So the brutal kill has already taken place at the end of last season. And Arya is already the less emotional more cold killer she becomes later in the books. So the development of Arya in the show is further along then she was at this stage in the books.

I have to say I am interested to see how they end the companionship between the hound and Arya. Was the hound seriously injured in the battle?
this kill was a combination of the kill on Polliver and Raff.

this is what i was trying to remember, i remember the voyage to the eyrie, but don't remember how it was interrupted, what about the part where the hound and arya were crossing the flooded river was that when they were on their way to the red wedding?

Yes the Hound was seriously injured in that fight if I remember correctly and Arya traveled without him till she got to a port? and showed her coin and got the heck out of dodge.

They obviously want to show more adventures with the Hound and Arya but I think they still could have saved that tavern scene for later. Not sure how they'll have the Hound injured this time or they may not have him seriously injured at all so he can get more screen time next season. He basically isn't in the next two books and is a popular character so I wouldn't be surprised if he was still fine when he and Arya parted ways.

Also it looks like the Royal Wedding is going to be next episode and SHOULD end with the king getting his just rewards. would make sense because I've heard Tyrion should be in jail for most of this season.

I think this will happen in the season finale either this year or next.

has to be this year, so she can be in braavos next year, especially since sam will be sent on a boat and cross paths with arya in braavos

Interesting or a potential train wreck. They haven't given me a ton of confidence in the areas where they deviate heavily from the books. Dany's terrible season 2 story line being a prime example for me.

Of course it could just mean that a few things are changing and they are combining books 4/5 as pretty much everyone expects so that the stories are in chronological order.
