Pojecting someone as a bust, does not sound like someone you think is a solid 2nd rounder and someone you like. And then you state it as "fact" as if you know the future.

In fairness, you can have the same QB and have him be a first overall pick and he'd be a bust but if he was a 2nd rounder, he wouldn't be considered a bust. The expectations are A LOT higher on the first pick in the draft. For example, if the Texans drafted Carr in the second round, he'd still have been a bad QB but they wouldn't have passed on Peppers for him so he wouldn't be seen as one of the biggest busts of all time.

With this established, what do you expect to get out of a "solid 2nd rounder"? Solid starter? Capaable of leading team to Super Bowl? Career backup?

I dont think it will happen, but what if he fell to the Texans at 2.1. Would you draft him there?

Its hard to explain, actually its easy. What he was tryin to say is Johnny Manziel is white but plays like a black guy. White athletes don't celebrate and carry on on the field like black athletes do. How many white endzone celebrations have ever been fines? That because they don't do it. Manziel is brash and braggadocious and he back it up with his play. He's a running qb, which is a characteristic of black players ( Vick, McNabb, Culpepper, Cunningham, RG3, Young and pretty much every black qb) because the saying is that black athletes are naturally faster. Which is why when a fast white player emerges he's "deceptively quick". Johnny Football is an anomaly because he doesn't fit the mold of a white qb. So ghetto tendencies is just saying he plays like he was raised in the hood playing football in the street barefoot juking on coming cars

Culpepper was more of a passer than runner. So was McNabb.

Exactly. I love Deion as a player but he sounds stupid saying "ghetto tendencies".

Both of those guys were extremely dangerous scramblers their first 5-6 years in the league. Arguably better with their feet than their arms (McNabb unable to throw it deep, Culpepper unable to throw it short). For certain their athleicism allowed them to makeup for their less than ideal arms . Once their legs left them, they became better pure passers. Especially McNabb.

Kentucky and Florida fans, makes sense.

I had a dream last night that the Cowboys sold the farm to draft Manziel.

They sat him for 2 years behind Romo and his enormous contract.

Year 3 rolls around, Romo and Manziel split time for various reasons.

Year 4, Romo (and his 17 million dollar cap hold) gets cut at the age of 37 and Manziel, now 24, takes over.

I need to lay off the crack.

Actually there are white athletes who celebrate in the end zone. Have you ever seen O.D. after he catches a TD...? There's a young tight end in Detroit named Joseph Fauria. YouTube his TD celebrations. Do you ever see J.J. after he makes a play on the field...??? Have you ever seen Rodgers do his championship belt celebration after he throws a TD (which they turned into the discount double check commercials)...? So white guys do it too... But with all the TD's Barry Sanders scored all he ever did was hand the ball to the refs. What about Dre...? Not all black guys do that. Calvin Johnson and AJ Green don't dance in the end zone. I don't think Mike Vick has ever had a TD celebration. So it's unfair for you to stereotype like that.

As far as running black quarterbacks... You forget about Doug Williams and Warren Moon. And others like Rodney Pete, Tony Banks, Charlie Batch, Brian Leftwitch, Jason Campbell, Josh Freeman. All pretty much pocket passers. Geno Smith can run a little but he's really a pocket passer. And Teddy is about to come in the NFL and Winston should soon be so that's two more none running black quarterbacks. And McNabb and Steve McNair could run but they didn't take off a lot. Even with a small black quarterback pool the ratio doesn't support you stereotyping with the word "characteristic."

You don't sound qualified to try to interpret what Dion Sanders means by his statement (which shouldn't be attempted anyway).

Johnny Manziel will spend the next two days visiting with the Oakland Raiders, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Johnny Manziel will visit with the Raiders, a source told ESPN.
Manziel flew to Oakland on Sunday morning following his appearance Saturday night at the NCAA basketball tournament Final Four games in Arlington, Texas, according to the source. The former Texas A&M star will visit with the Raiders on Sunday night and Monday.

It will not be the first pre-draft visit for Manziel, who has been projected as a possible first-round pick. The 2012 Heisman Trophy winner already visited with the New England Patriots this past week, according to sources.

Manziel was projected as the No. 8 overall pick to the Minnesota Vikings in ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper's latest mock draft and was ranked as the No. 20 overall draft prospect by ESPN's Todd McShay.

The Raiders own the fifth overall selection in next month's NFL draft. Oakland acquired veteran Matt Schaub in a trade last month with the Houston Texans, but the Raiders could still potentially be looking for a long-term solution at quarterback.

I'm sure he's received lots of coaching from his advisers on how to conduct himself before the draft. He'll be on his very best behavior until then.
