Schweinsteiger barely even makes contact with Rooney. Clear dive. I'm a neutral fan by the way.
Schweinsteiger got the ball cleanly but it was a tackle that would always impede the other player and make the other player fall over (or step on him). Rooney fell over him and made the most of it so he could get the foul and card. Just like Robben and Ribery would do if given the opportunity. He made contact with Rooney and Rooney made a meal of it. That happens these days.
Watch it again. Rooney's foot hits the ball. He's the one playing it forward. Clearly a dive and a harsh decision. But I see Rooney being the one touching the ball.
16 MB GIF so that you can see who is playing the ball... Also, please note how Rooney theatrically cocks his head back and look at his facial expression when Basti tells him off afterwards. R. got a few words in the tunnel as well. He'll regret this. This might be a quicker link: http://gfycat.com/VainSerpentineKingfisher
Get your Bayern glasses off. Your telling me that you can't see that it's Rooneys bright yellow shoes hitting that ball? Hilarious man. It's clear as day.
Are you crazy? Seriously? You are the only person on the thread claiming that, and there are only two Bayern fans here. Or maybe you are joking and I am not getting it.
I suggest you take off your Bayern glasses, and look at it closer. Rooney clearly hits it with the outside of his foot. No joke, seriously. I'm not disputing that it was a harsh decision. But I've watched it realtime, and the replay countless times just to make sure. And I'm sure.
This is ridiculous. I don't even know what to say. It's like someone claiming 2+2 is 30. Maybe you didn't notice, but Basti was wearing yellow shoes as well.
It is hard to tell, each angle looks different sometimes it looks like Rooney, the other like Schweinsteiger (sp?) Either way it was a dangerous play and probably deserves a yellow. DD
He plays it with the outside off his foot. He saw that he played the ball to much in front of himself, so he made sure to get on to it first with the outside of his foot. He dived, but he did get on to the ball before Bastian. Maybe you didn't watch the game realtime, and have only seen gifs on it. I don't know. It's clear on the gifs aswell imo. But have a look in this video then. Maybe it gives you a better view. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3e7wTGocdY I really don't care, but you are dead wrong on this one.
It's 100 % clear in all angles that Schweinsteiger played the ball. Again, just look at how Rooney looks where the ball goes, THEN cocks his head back, falls dramatically and at his facial expression when Basti tells him off. How is that not 100 % clear to you? I was in the stadium and thought it was a foul from where I was sitting. But after watching the replay in every angle available, it's totally clear that it wasn't.
It's impossible to play the ball this fast with the outside of his foot with no motion in that direction. That aside, all the videos posted on this thread show it 100 % clearly that Schweinsteiger played the ball. You are dead wrong. Look at the angle from the back. If that doesn't make it obvious to you, you really need to go see an ophtalmologist. Now. Then look at his face. Are you not seeing that this face screams "dive"?
No one in the world can kick a ball that hard with the outside of your foot with absolutely zero wind up. There is no way.
Haha, you have clearly never played football. That's impossible? Hilarious. I can do that in my sleep. Your Bayern glasses are just way to thick. Funny how fans can act like this when it involves their fav team. I've clearly stated several times that Rooney dived, but that was AFTER he hit the ball with the outside of his foot. He made the most out of it. It was cynical, but that's not what I'm debating. And yes, the angle from the back is a good view of that. You can clearly see that it's Rooney hitting the ball.
Exactly. And the speed of the ball exactly matches the speed of the sliding tackle. But even if all that weren't the case, the animated pictures clearly show that Schweinsteiger touches the ball and that Rooney doesn't. It's just mind-boggling that one guy can continue to claim that he is seeing something else.
