Is anybody actually looking forward to the Pacers-Heat volume 3?

They can't score enough. And everyone on the Big 3 in Miami can take over a game (even though Bosh hasn't done so, in a while.)

It'll be interesting to see if Wade stays healthy throughout the 'offs.

So you're saying the Heat wouldn't even make the ECF if the NBA wouldn't need this supposed narrative? Is the rest of your post equally brilliant or will I be let down if I read it?

Yeah this. To be honest most of the posters here in CF are either just Kobe homers or they just dislike LBJ for one reason or the other, hence why you see so many guys against LBJ. Thing is, posting on a forum is free, if you had all these guys actually betting something valuable along with their predictions (like say actual money), most of them would go with Miami and LBJ the past 2 years.

With all that said, I'm surprised so many are picking the Spurs to win it all, this is an even year and they peaked too early, I'm not sure they have enough gas in the tank to win it all. IMHO Miami's biggest challenge will come from the Brooklyn Nyets, another team that flown under the radar ever since their early season meltdown. If they can win over them without too much of a struggle, I think Miami will have an easier time against whichever Western team comes out on top, WC is just too dog-eat-dog for anyone to come out unscathed.

Spurs are the best team right now, but they're just playing too damn well with 2 more weeks in the regular season. Hopefully they don't peak too early b/c I feel they're the only team that can beat Miami.

you guys are crazy. they are the closest thing to a rivalry in the game today. these two teams genuinely hate each other, and that is always fun to watch.

i hope miami wins, so the finals will be entertaining. any west team vs lebron will be great TV. pacers and their slow down BS can GTFO

My prediction is the Heat/Spurs in the Finals with the Spurs getting trounced. LeBron figured the defense out towards the end of the series and Wade/Bosh will probably play better this time around.

It all comes down to do if Lebron can hit his jumpers. If he can no one is beating the heat.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing the Raptors in the playoffs. Should be a fun crowd and team to watch.

The Heat won 2 ridiculously close games. Let's not pretend that they figured everything out.

There won't be Pacers-Heat at this rate. They can easily lose to the Bobcats in rd 1. There's enough talent to beat any team but chemistry is clearly not there anymore. This is like the '03 Pacers all over again. The best team in the league for 2/3 of the season, then a 1st round loss.

    Pacers don't have a go-to-scorer.

The two highest paid players on that team are Roy Hibbert and (soon-to-be) Paul George, both offensively challenged players.

Relying on defense could work playing in the East, but at some point the lack of offense will catch up to you, especially since PG has regressed to the mean.

IMO, that "go-to scorer" mentality is the big problem. They have several people pulling a Rudy Gay. If they just moved the ball like they did early in the season, they would be ok. Of course, right now they are so out of sync that even when they try to move the ball they can't catch it because they don't know when to expect a pass anymore.
