If you think CP3 is in the same tier as LeBron and Durant, you're crazy. He's clearly below them. He's on about the same level as Dwight and Harden, as well as a number of other guys. Somewhere in the flotsam and jetsam of the 3rd through 10th best players in the league.

I don't think he meant in the same group as Lebron/Durant but he was also probably talking about Griffin, not CP3.

Griffin is the 3rd best player in the league, tbh.

LOL, no. Griffin is improved, but not on Paul's level.

Chris Paul is clearly the 3rd best player in the NBA

His XRAPM, is 2nd in the NBA to LeBron, it was 2nd last year, and 3rd the 2 years before that. The stat isn't perfect, but when the results are that consistent it means something. LeBron has been #1 all 4 seasons.

A healthy Chris Paul is the third best player in the NBA, but he is clearly a tick below James and Durant.... I also don't think that Paul is as good as he was a few years ago.

^this. He was amazing on the hornets, so much that Morey even called him the best PG in NBA history.

Um, no not really. The ones I really want to avoid until WCF are Clips, OKC and Spurs, in that order. I couldn't care less about GSW, Porland and Memphis. Memphis is extremely overrated, you can't put stock in a team that talks about "grinding it out" with lockdown D but then you have ZBO who is a defensive sieve.

My only issue right now is Jeremy Lin, the dude should've been our X factor and the diff between 2nd round and WCF but now he's playing like total trash. With Bev just comng back from injury we need him to step up his game, not play like he doesn't even belong in the league. If he doesn't play like an average NBA player we aren't going past the 2nd round, HnH will be too gassed no matter who we play against.

I despise CP3 but him healthy is on the same level as Durant and Lebron offensively.

I'll agree. CP3 belongs in the same group as LeBron and Kevin. The difference is that those guys single-handedly are able to dominate a game by themselves.

While CP3 is just as important as the other two, his particular position doesn't allow for him to be "as dominant." But he absolutely is the best PG in the league and his decisions are what make the Clippers arguably the most dangerous team in the playoffs.

I have a feeling that if we do meet them, it'll continue that streak of ****ty 1st round playoff matchups.

I think we can overpower them if we're all healthy though. It's just not the best way to start the playoffs.

C'mon now lol. Griffin is top 10 player most likely but 3rd best player in the league...He is only the second best player on his own team.

I'd take Harden over Griffin any day.

It isn't coincidence that the 3 best players in the NBA.... James/Durant/Paul are 3 of the 4 teams with the best shot at winning an NBA title.

You must not have watched too many Clippers games this year. This is the year that Griffin has surpassed CP3 as the first option on the team. 4th quarter used to be CP3 time, but now the offense goes through Griffin. Also, Griffin and Durant are the only two players to win Western Conference Player of the Month. It's clearly Lebron or Durant for MVP, but the next candidates have to be Blake Griffin, Paul George, and Carmelo due to the fact that they're the only three to put together an entire month that was more impressive than Lebron and Durant this season.

I think Blake Griffin and Paul George have super high ceilings as well because they are already in the top 5 in the NBA and both are so freakishly athletic that they are only at the tip of the iceberg on what they can do in this league. Not this year, but these two are breathing down Lebron and Durant's neck for the next 3 seasons.

    Just... no.

Granted Melo is having a fantastic year but his team isn't even in the playoffs in the East right now

If the grizzlies can re-create that magic defense that they have been known for in the past in these playoffs, then they will be tough to beat.

But I'm not sure that this will be the case. I think, specifically, that durant, the spurs, and possible portland and gs, may be able to overcome the grizzlies d this year.

We'll see in the playoffs how it shakes out, but if the grizzlies keep it close then I still think that zbo, marc, mike and tony know how to close out games and series as good or better than anybody in the west.

I must say, I'm disappointed. They've completely collapsed.
