The unidentified woman has filed a complaint that is being investigated by internal affairs, Chief Roberto Villasenor said, adding "that kind of force being used" is worrisome. ... Though the cellphone video's view is partially obscured by a man standing in front of the camera, "I think without a doubt you can see an officer shoved the young lady," Villasenor said during a telephone interview. "There's no question the young lady was shoved." But "it is premature to make any kind of judgment" before getting the officer's explanation and other information that will be part of the review, which could take up to a week, he said. Villasenor said the officer involved was identified, but the name was withheld.
Cop should have leveled the person who made the video. You need to rot in jail for making a vertical video.
I don't know that cup she had in her hand looked pretty threatening. If you ever want to know what happened to all of those loser jocks in high school who picked on everyone smaller than them and could barely scrape a passing grade to stay eligible for sports they likely became cops.
Very scary with the metal bench. I guess if the cop isn't facing towards me I might not know there was an implied barrier.
They should pass laws not allowing people to film the police. The police are here to protect and serve and not become a viral reality star. I'm sure the guy who filmed this video will make at least 10,000 USD when this video hits over 10M views since most videos are monetized these days. Everyone has hidden motives.
"Shoved"???? She was knocked the **** out Absolutely ridiculous, but nothing will happen. I filed a report about an HPD officer who assaulted me in august and still haven't heard anything back. They keep telling me it is "still under investigation"
In a nation devoid of heroes other than Lebron James and Kanye West- many of today's youth look up to the police as the leaders and pillars of strength in society. Also in what is just and right. Videos like this just make the police look bad and I see nothing positive or constructive that can result due to this. My argument is valid.
