Anyone that says this has clearly never worked in a restruant. Those to-go people bust their ass making sure you get your food on time, and they make 2.13 an hour. They literally live off tips. If an extra 10 bucks will make that guys day as compared to breaking it, why not do it? What's $15 to Drew Bree's? That being said, I'm sure most aren't trying to be assholes, they just dont understand how being paid in to-go works.

Sorry for the derail, but you're knowledge of the restaurant business is not the end all of knowledge. I've been a bartender and handled to-go orders. There are also setups where the to-go person is rotated and paid min wage. This is such a narrow offshoot, but you're seriously arguing for the position that someone should tip $15 for a to-go order and bc I made light of that notion you assumed that I've never worked at a restaurant when in fact throughout college, I bartended, shucked oysters, and handled to-go orders.
