My realistic hope is to outscore them.

Without D12 and Bev it will be a struggle but I believe we win 112-99.

Starting line-up of Lin, Harden, Parsons, D-Mo & Asik. Last year's fantasy team of some members :)

Ever since Lin went off on D-Will to jumpstart Linsanity 2 years back, hasn't D-Will killed him in matchups nearly every time?

Nets at home are actually a good team...they haven't lost in a while.

Williams has looked really bad a lot of times this season. Last night he shot like 1-10. Granted it was against Rubio, but he seems to have a bunch of relatively sub par games then explode every once in a while. Johnson is the sane way. He looks like the second best 2-guard in the league one night, then a complete dud the next.

Hopefully they both don't have their "explosive"games against us

Next three games could easily be losses. Nets have been on fire at home, Rockets are without Patrick and Dwight for an extended amount of time, and with Jones a question mark this game is looking more and more like a loss. Toronto will be extremely tough as well.

Nets are going to be difficult to handle especially on the road. Our last game was not a true reflection of where we are at even with injuries. Hope we can get back into the W's and not have GARM implode once more

    Meh.

I think the last game was a perfect reflection of where we are. The Clippers are a bad match up and have been all season, injuries or not, full roster or not. IE, it has NOTHING to do with how we'll play the Nets.

That said, I agree. We *should* do well against the Nets. We definitely have the advantage in speed and in terms of transition. Dwight should still do fine against KG. I don't see how they can defend Harden as they don't have any great perimeter defenders or the foot speed to double and still contest the perimeter.

The main obstacle is we don't match up well in terms of defending their big front line players. If Pierce and KG are on, we don't have enough players with sufficient length to stop both of them. And they're both SO savvy TJones will need to be *very* careful in terms of foul trouble.

And Dwill is a tough match up at the position. He's so tall and long that he'll just shoot over any of our PG's. Might be worth putting Parsons on Dwill for the extra length.

Our biggest advantage is that they're much older than our roster. So if we push transition, we can easily burn their legs out by the 4th quarter. Run on makes or misses and we have a good shot at really tilting this game in our favor.

Doh, you're right. I didn't see that Dwight was 100% ruled out for Brooklyn. I thought he was still day to day. Asik should still do fine, though I don't expect him to score a bunch. Don't see anything ruling TJones out unless I missed it somewhere.

Bench is going to be the weak spot, but the Nets are really a pretty good match up for us.

Rockets will beat the Nets. Paul Pierce will be a challenge to deal with, but I think the overall quickness and shot making ability of the Rockets is a challenge for Brooklyn.

Preparing for the worst, hoping for the best. My wishlist: (1) Healthy, aggressive T. Jones, (2) bounce-back performance for Lin, (3) T. Jones & DMo not in early foul trouble, (4) at least ONE of Hamilton/Garcia/Casspi hot off the bench, (5) continued success for Canaan, and (6) health, health and more health for Dwight and Bev, while we're at it.

I had the Nets winning the Chip this year, that was my prediction early season. Coaching has improved and they will beat us.
