Not saying the cop was right, but.... 1. He might've just seen a body walking up behind the police line and went to take it out. Those helmets will really restrict your peripheral vision and he probably didn't identify the target (her) well before engaging. His bad. 2. The cop is probably on edge because they are riot police. So he's already in a tense situation and adrenaline probably got to him. 3. Why is the girl walking up behind a police line? Seems like not such a good idea to come up behind them. Walk around. 4. She should probably be more aware of her surroundings and where she's walking instead of being so involved in who she's texting. She might have a case against the cop for excessive force, but they are so well protected from litigation that she is unlikely to gain any type of compensation. As punishment, the cop might just have to take another course in riot training and identifying / neutralizing a target.
****ing cops, low IQ, itchy trigger, bastards. That didn't even look like a riot, just a bunch of stupid kids. Who are they serving and protecting again?
Themselves, first and foremost. They are brainwashed into their brotherhood crap and will do whatever to take care of themselves.
Don't know if there were previous "warnings" not to approach, or everyone was told not to walk up behind the line of officers obviously protecting themselves or another section of the public area, but the edge is with the civilian for now. No warning? Agree with ipaman, but I wouldn't go so far as to call them all those names.
Lol... compared to what we seen in Ukraine, this "riot" was a joke. Says a lot about the cop and how he acted in this "tense" situation. what a f-ing ****head
This is actually the one time where showing your boobies would come in handy. She disappointed Jontro.
I prefer this one: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/nNEvqX_cUIM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Yeah, same one. University of Arizona lost to Wisconsin. People took to the streets and wouldn't disperse. Beer bottles thrown at cops. Pepper spray thrown at protesters. I think only 1 arrest, no one seriously injured. I don't understand riot mentality in sports. We lost? Let's tear **** up! We won? Let's tear **** up!
I see. It's sad that so many people don't understand the police. They will not hesitate to run straight to the danger, and they will protect your life with their own if they have to. But they know the danger they are in, every moment they wear the uniform. They take as much care as they can to protect themselves as well, and this includes telling people to stay away, to stay clear, or whatever they happen to require. They make it clear enough - do not come here, disperse, keep this area clear, whatever. Clearly some people - especially drunk or stupid teenagers - think that they can ignore the warnings of the police. No, you can't. They don't mess around. Yeah, the first video looks bad, because all we see is the event itself. What we surely did NOT see was the police making it very clear that they needed to stay out of that area, there is no doubt. And wandering into that area, whether accidentally, or through drunk stupidity (as in the moron in the boxer shorts in the 2nd video) was going to result in them having their asses handed to them. Some people NEED to have their asses handed to them. I feel bad for the girl in the first one, I don't feel bad for the shmuck in the 2nd one. Hopefully though, they BOTH learned a valuable life lesson.
Cops should be held accountable to the same assault laws that civilians are. I don't see why the cop had to level her the way he did, regardless of whether or not she wasn't supposed to be there. I understand that cops are put into situations where they are forced to make life-or-death decisions in matter of seconds, but at the same time, they are trained to do so.
