Sorry to differ, but this poor decision making was the thing that drove me insane last year with Lin's game. Leaving his feet before knowing what to do with the ball is nothing new for him, and as time passes I become less convinced that he can or will correct it. And the thing about it is not just that it creates turnovers, but more that the pass he is forced to make is not the best one available to him; it's just the only one he can make before coming down with the ball. Even if he doesn't turn the ball over, he gets the ball to the wrong teammate — often one in a poor position to make the play.
The only way the jumping in the air gets corrected if he starts to develop a floater. - or start to just use his midrange game, he actually has a solid midrange game I don't see him taking as many 3s he does now once he's on another team. Even if he misses it's better than going in if the lane is not open. most PGs starters or backups make a living off midrange, he actually use to do it a lot in NY from what I saw on highlights
Yes, similar relationship that Lin has with Bev - averages higher in everything except rebounds in less minutes - what's your point? it's one game.
It does not matter who will start. Your best pg is Jeremy lin. Whoever starts will not make a different. Only how Lin performs will make a difference, for good or bad. Lin will be fine, clutchfans is so prone to be in the panic mode.
I liked what I saw from Canaan but I wouldnt start him yet but he outplayed Lin from here on out and PB is not back for the playoffs then I would start him
Better shooter in one game, I recall Lin shot 9 threes like sometime in the beginning of the season. Now if he could start playing like that again we be OK.
Canaan turns the ball over more than Lin PER 48 TO 12th ( LIN 29th ) Dleague Stat. http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/isaiah_canaan/ 13-14 Avg TO 3.0 with 18games (Avg.34.1mins)
I've literally stared at this for 30 seconds and I can't tell what he's saying. Maybe I'm just way too tired..
Gotta love it. A young unheard of unheralded pg has one heck of a game - looks amazing out there. Really wowed me, and everyone else. Makes the incumbent pg look like a schmuck. A comes off in a depleted situation and say...puts up a game that impresses - really impresses. Based on that, I'm jumping in. 1 Game is all I need. I mean, forget about having to go at least 7 games and get a bunch of hype, give me one good game to judge an unknown talent, and I am ready to hand over the reins and by the end of the season sign this kid to a poison pill contract with a balloon payment of 15mil in his final year. The absolute, stupefying irony of this thread (and yes original post) is so hilarious I actually did a spit take. I mean, there was water spraying out of my mouth. I think it's a great that there is absolutely no chance that Canaan is a starter after putting up a turnover every 5 minutes of play in the last 10 games. Not because Canaan doesn't have a lot of potential, but because if there was a chance I wouldn't find it totally ironically hysterical.
THE GARM is free-falling...way to go Clutchfans..." 1-game vs 2 years of playing with the team "..and the 1 - game WINS!!! The LOGIC is clear...."ANYONE as long as it is not LIN"...
Is there a legit, published number anywhere, even an estimate, as to how much $$ Les is making off Lin being on the team? I would really like to know and it would be at least a decent reason to give Morey a pass on that poison pill signing. Not a Lin hater or anything but it looks like I'm one of many, that have just been left frustrated time and time again by him esp in big games. I always ask myself, why did Morey work so hard to even get this guy, and I settle on Rockets presence in the Far East. But I want to see an actual number or figure to put with that train of thought. Get well soon Bev.
I don't know about you but I'm ready to deem kid as Isiah "the answer" Canaan. Just like Machado saved us last season.
im sure canaan is a talented player for him to have a good game like this, but you also factor in that there's no scouting report on him and the team was dogging lin all night. pretty much a set up for how linsanity happened, no one took lin seriously.
