    1.Durant (for this year anyhow)
    2.LeBron
    3.Paul
    4.Harden
    5.Griffin

Kevin Love hasn't even come close to the freaking playoffs and people continue to slobber all over him as elite.

I don't agree that Love is overrated or just some empty stats guy. Love is basically the entire offense, and especially with injuries to some of the starters the Timberwolves are an extremely flawed team. Love, especially down the stretch, gets double teamed a lot, and besides Martin there is really no one to stretch the floor, yet Kevin is still the 3rd leading scorer in the NBA. Simpy put, it is much easier for a guard to single handedly carry a team than a forward, much less an un-athletic offensive minded stretch 4.

Also, don't forget the Wolves, despite all the flaws, would be a borderline 3 or 4 seed in the East. There are just 9 teams in the West with a better mix of stars and role players.

I think Kevin Love's stats are inflated due to being on a bad team, but he has to put up those numbers to carry the T-Wolves. If he were on a good team, he would have lesser stats, but could definitely be a top notch contributor to a championship calibur team. I don't think there is a team in the league that wouldn't want to add Love in a second.

Yep. I don't think he even has to be a complimentary star, I think he can be the best player on a team, and with an addition to the roster like Lillard was for Aldridge, he can lead a playoff team.

If the Lakers somehow traded for Love and signed Luol Deng, a lineup with a healthy Kobe, Kevin Love, and Luol Deng could be a contending team with Love being the alpha dog assuming they fill the rest of the roster with good role players.

Love or Noah? Who is better.

One all analytics say is the #3 player in the league, and everyone picked to lead his team to about the #6 seed.

The other on paper looks pretty good, nothing spectacular, but is carrying a team that is trying to tank.

Yes it's east vs west yada yada yada.
But minny has a better cast than what Chicago has without rose/deng

Love's true shooting percentage is .597, highest among all power forwards with a usage rate above 16 (Love's usage rate is 27.5). His shooting percentage (like Lebron's) is likely to go up if he moves to a better team where he doesn't have to carry the entire offensive load. Coupled with his rebounding rate (generally ranked #1 among PFs, second to Tim Duncan this season) he's very likely to become the 3rd best player in the league, if he isn't that already.

I'm not so sure I agree with that. I've watched a ton of wolves games this year and the team is extremely flawed. Pekovik and Love together as a defensive front court is horrendous. Individually neither are really that bad of post defenders, since they are strong and hard to move but together they are just poor. Rubio is hardly a factor on offense, Brewer is useless in half court, Martin is extremely inconsistent, and the bench is among one of the worsts in the NBA.

The Timberwolves are #1 in 1st quarter scoring, but their offense flat out just doesn't work down the stretch. That is why they are good on paper but have been struggling so much, and why their record in games decided by 4 or less is so bad.

I can't believe people have Noah as a top 5 player. He can be all-nba first team simply b/c the center position sucks, but he's not a top 5 overall player.

    Top 5:
Lebron, Durant, Griffin, Paul, and Harden.

And you can argue Love, Curry, George, Cousins... But Noah, please.

    I'd go

    Durant
    Lebron
    Griffin
    Harden
And a 4 way tie at the bottom Paul/Love/Davis/Cousins

I don't understand how some you have Paul George in your top 5. His last 40+ games have been plain bad on offense. I'd put him somewhere after those 8 in the Dragic/Melo/Curry/Dirk area.

Melo has been way way better.

Melo is playing like a top 5 player himself.

Paul George shouldn't be anywhere in the Top 5 with how horribly he's played on offense the last few months.

    For me..

    1. KD
    2. Lebron
    3. Griffin
    4. Harden
    5. Curry/Davis/Love
