The funny thing about theories, especially a theory about how the Universe was created, or appeared, or came to be, or reproduced etc., is that they are all wrong, except of course the one you believe in! This thread is not going to enlighten anyone, unless you believe that a ray of light.......oh never mind! ....... ....... .......
this thread really isn't meant to be about debating each other's theories rather just sharing yours and leaving it at that.... but that never seems to be how it works out!
I will tell you exactly what happened: joel osteen's blinks created heat. that created his hair.. got him those rims..and that arm candy. and you died not understanding. left holding the bag as usual. Good one.
OP, your question is a good one asked by many people. However, CF isn't the appropriate place for asking such a momentous idea D&D notwithstanding. If you're truly curious, go to Institute of Physics and Physics forum especially. Read the cosmology threads on this topic. I'm a moderator there, and I can vouch for the quality of in-depth discussions backed with mathematics, science, and some philosophy.
Nobody has any ****ing idea. The best k low for prez could do was spaghetti monster. Some people feel the need to make fun of others for things they don't understand and others want to believe something created everything and will reward us if we are good. One thing is certain. If you say oh my god in a youtube video and reference jesus then expect the comments to be filled with a bunch of people who hate you for believing in an after-life. They are mad there is not one and they are pissed when they hear about others who don't love with the same fear of nothingness. Everyone dies. Before you existed did you worry about death?
dork.. and stop using the Hangout to promote your site. dork and you do realize B-Bob and other peeps her are more knowlegeable than us But I suppose DudeWah disagrees.
If the path behind you was infinite, you would never get to the point where you are today. Are you sure that you exist?
Wikipedia disagrees. Spoiler Google has a slightly different opinion ... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/lhTSfOZUNLo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Our whole universe was in a hot dense state, Then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started. Wait... The Earth began to cool, The autotrophs began to drool, Neanderthals developed tools, We built a wall (we built the pyramids), Math, science, history, unraveling the mysteries, That all started with the big bang!
Whoa! A mr_gootan sighting! As to the OP, I would expand on mr_gootan's general point. Physics notwithstanding (and thanks for the recommendation, dmc89!*)... a big part of my theory of "How Universe was created" goes like this: * My mental operational parameters have developed mainly for surviving on one specific mote of dust in the cosmos, NOT figuring out the enormity and complexity of that which contains the tiny blue spec of dust. * I am careful not to assume anything about space and time beyond my own incredibly limited experiences of them. The concept of "before" works just fine for our tiny, tiny lifespans on this mote of dust, but maybe billions of years ago, there was not a "before" that would make any sense to a feeble human brain. And maybe billions of years from now, there will be another era that makes no sense to the human mind. What I'm getting at goes something like this. If you leave Texas for California (which I have done), you can drive yourself crazy looking for Whataburgers. They just aren't here. It's different. So beware a local existence bias when contemplating different scenarios, places, and times. * = I wouldn't ever suggest limiting what people on clutchfans can attempt to discuss though. And let's just make it plain: AIP forums do not have Unsorted.
Can't we just say that we don't know. We have this need to ratonalize everything. At this point in our history I think we just don't know for certain what created the universe.
We can say that we don't know. But, that doesn't mean that anything is true. We know there are plenty of explanations that are wrong - we just don't know which one is exactly right yet.
