Two games in a single season doesn't mean your mentally tough. AB went from MIP to bottom feeder. Both of their confidence levels at this point aren't even close to what they once were. Both were fearless when there was nothing to fear. Not the case anymore.
Knee jerk- but should probably expect this on this forum just moments after a tough loss. Nevertheless, this is getting ridiculous- stop projecting your hate on Lin fans onto Lin himself. He played very VERY poorly today but to have numerous people flat out say he doesn't belong in the NBA altogether is ridiculous. The level of hate on this board is getting obnoxious.
You were a staunch supporter for Lin to regain the starting job, before Bev broke his hand. People should pay attention to OMR, especially LoF's.
It's obvious the Clips have well game planned for Lin. When he drived to the rim, the lane closed on him and he's double teamed all the time. While on the contrast, the lane seemed to stay opened for Canaan all the time.
I don't judge point guards when they're guarded by Chris Paul. Chris Paul makes a lot of point guards look bad. Let's see how Lin does against teams as a whole.
Lin had a bad game tonight. Not arguing that, but when he was subbed out at 5:09 in the third quarter, the score was 74-70 LA. When Lin subbed back in at 8:06 in the fourth, the score was 98-87 LA. How exactly is it Lin's fault that the bench let the Clippers increase there lead by 7 points? When Lin was subbed back in, the Rockets got the lead down to 7 points several times in the fourth and at one point, down to 6 points.
Those stats are biased against Lin. Look at the plus/minus. That is the stat lots of guys like to bring up when trying to make a point. Oh wait...never mind. Well, he'll get em next game as long as McHale doesn't screw him over and make him play bad.
Sorry for saying this.... you are just too stupid to post anything worthwhile. Yao was Chinese last time I checked, and while he had a few glaring deficincies, he more than made up for it with superstar talent. For that, he was nearly universally loved here. You are just running out of excuses.
Why are people saying CP3 abused our PGs all night. The only person he was abusing was Parsons and for a short stretch Garcia. Parson's has become a below average defender and maybe the second worse defender behind harden on the team. McHale failed in his matchups and even more in his adjustments.
I'd go with Canaan as starter for most of the reasons in the original post. He's probably more of a threat from 3 point land also - which is yet another good reason to put him in there with the starters. Let him bring up the ball, hand it off, find his spot and drain the triples. We need Lin to stay in that 'scoring 6th man' role.
Hopefully Beverly will be back and he can start but Canaan needs to be our primary back up pg to push Jlin to the end of the bench like Cassell did to Scott Brooks. Stop with the excuses and backing this guy up. He has no business wearing a Rockets uniform. Rookie mistakes are no longer excusable at this 0oint of his career. Mchale needs to take him out of the rotation where he and the rest of his lame die hard fans can sit there and take some
