Excusing Lins poor play with " McHale is in Lin's head" = Implying Lin is mentally fragile. Self-ownage for the Li.....errr.....Win!
Really? Did you even watch Lowry in Adelman's system? Your answer is quite indicative that you didn't.
So Goran, Lowry, and Beverly have played well under McHale. Using your words, "what is the common denominator"?
Lin was not on the Rockets then. Why would he be watching the Rockets back then?? No disrespect but that was a stupid question.
LOL Good point. When addressing a LOF about Rockets basketball, please don't assume they know about anything that happened pre-summer of 2012. Thanks.
Sure did, have you watched him at all in Toronto? His numbers are up in every category, nothing dramatic but he's a noticeably different player.
I forgot that looking at stats is quantitive of having watched a player. In that case, yes, I've seen every player in the NBA. Also, FYI, when you start a sentence with "nothing dramatic but", the entire point of that sentence is lost.
Crap happens. They want to root for their hero. Which is pretty normal in sports. But sometimes they get too caught up and emotional about the reality of what happened. Sure McHale is not the right guy for Lin. It's been like that from day one. But's it's the NBA and you play your role that you get paid millions of dollar for. Be it you deserve the spot or not. That's just the way sports works. I just don't like the way Morey promised Lin the starting PG spot to him, and then to a bait and switch on Lin. that is more on Morey than McHale from my view.
LOF's actually not that much a perjorative term for me. It's like saying I'm of MOF or LOF (Lebron only Fan). Plenty of those around.
I don't wana take away from the collaborative trashing of Lin's putrid play tonight, (and please let me know if I am) but why didn't McHale split he and Harden's minutes? We know Lin plays way better without Harden and there's no play makers on the floor when neither are in. Bench seemed to lose the lead or increase the deficit when they were in. Maybe, just maybe, Lin could have done something if he played against the Clippers bench.
Didn't start the sentence with that, and I watch multiple NBA games every night. I'm not stats junkie.
Since '92? Then you know how hated Rafer was at times, and there was never this apologist campaign for him. I really don't think I've criticized Lin before tonight, but feel free to clump me with whatever group benefits your agenda. by the same token, I've never played organized sports and hate Lin according to you; so I'd say we are even.
For that to happen, he needs to come off the bench. Its harder to stagger minutes with both players starting which is why Lin was sent to the bench while Bev was given the starting spot. The problem here is that Canaan is a rookie and so green that Lin will have to be downright terrible for a long stretches before McHale will give the starting role to Canaan. If Canaan takes the starting job, it will be because of Lin's poor play, not because McHale trusts Canaan.
I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone refer to themselves as a *OF. A lot of people like Lebron, but never heard, admittedly, of one being a Lebron-only-fan.
