He was bad at times during last season but not like this. This year he took his awful to a whole new level. He lost the starting job and couldn't recover from that. He's sulking and those bad feelings can cause a sore lower back.

Its not out of the ordinary for coaches to start 3rd string players so the flow is not disturbed on the bench. Players need to realizes starting doesn't matter. maybe Cannan needs to start, not because he is better than Lin, but because Lin is better suited as a bench player with free reign to do what he want with the bench.

Actually Lin was solid Defensively, biggest thing I noticed was Parsons and Lin trying to cover up hardens bad defensive rotation and just lazy defense overall by harden

I was happy that james didn't let himself get shut down by the clippers for once.

keeps you from getting your hopes up for the playoffs and ultimately disappointed with Lin as a starter?

Rockets firmly in that 4th spot. Rockets would miss the clips and okc until the WCF if Rockets make it that far.

People are jumping on Lin tonight mostly because he missed shots. The missed shots really are not that big a deal, they are for the most part the shots you want him to take-- spot up Js and layups-- some nights you just miss them due to luck or good defense.

The team lost because of a team-wide turnover problem and an inability to really defend Chris Paul, who was just in "God mode" tonight no matter who the team put on him. Lin is gonna get a bunch of attention because people here always talk about him and because his FG%, but there is a lot more that needs fixing than Jeremy Lin missing some layups and Js.

Anyways, the big picture is that the Rockets just need to get Dwight healthy, and hope for the best health-wise for everyone else, while winning enough games to stay in the 4th position. And then what happens happens.

I didn't see the game, but Harden does have catching up to to do with D. this game was lost by allowing Paul to go wild.

Agreed. I think that's the root cause of Blake Griffin's injury too.

yes, i guess that's good but what's frustrating is we can beat the heat but can't get anywhere near the clips and OKC.

There are 2 reasons we can't beat the clippers imo and that's turnovers and jamal crawford. I'm hoping if we meet them in the playoffs, its like when the other LA swept the season series, minus the injuries.

Well said. Lin's FG% for the season is > than BEV. where is the equal treatment of BEV when he has a 1-9 shooting game? I thought Lin's problems was TO's. While Canaan had 4 TO's the first game. I think he'll be agood player Canaan, but we can look at the 4TO's as an indicator.

I think people are jumping on him more because he didn't rise to the occasion, and that doesn't give people hope going into the playoffs.

"Rising to the occasion" is the name of the game in the post-season, and it's not good enough for Lin to have a simple off night anymore.

Canaan is better than I thought. A bright spot in this disappointing game.

i'm hoping that its just the fact the team is getting adjusted to the new lineup. maybe bev will play after all from what it sounds like he may be able but his quickness will be gone.

that's ridiculous statement. He hasn't been awful vs the Celtics, wolves or a host of teams this month. He's been bad against the elite teams, which is a FAIR criticism of Lin at this juncture in his career. the better teams game plan for Lin and Lin has to step up to the challenge to meet it.

Lin never lost the starting job. It's just that McHale gave it to Bev for his own reasons. I like Bev too he's a feisty guy as a role player, but not for a Starting PG in the NBA in my view.

As for the sulking and causing a sore back?

Historically, the Clips implode/underachieve in the playoffs and leave everyone shaking their head. We'll see if that trend continues.
