Couldn't agree more. The Rockets spent all season making Isaiah basically a free firing SG down in the DLeague. It's about time McHale unleashed Canaan as a PG in the big leagues.
He should have told his perimeter players to stay at home instead of helping out on Noah. LOL Noah of all people doesn't need to be doubled. Let Howard play him straight up.
I don't think Mchale is a great coach. And we're not going anywhere in the playoffs with him. But last night was not his fault at all. We just didn't show up
Funny thing is, even Canaan were to be put in place of Lin, Rockets wouldn't get any playmaking from him because there is a chosen system in place. Perhaps, a player like Melo might actually prove to be useful under the circumstances.
Why do they keep posting these articles about some Eastern conference scouts opinion? If you look at the East you would know that their scouts have no idea what they are doing.
The New York Post hopes that the Rockets will trade for Melo. Because that franchise is not going to see 0.500 for years. Melo is a cancer. Rondo is a cancer.
We lost to the defending champs on their home court. I thought we played pretty well today. The Heat made shots at the end and won the game, and the Refs made some weird calls.
Dmo playing well and hounding Ray Allen from getting open threes? Let's make sure he doesn't play in the clutch. /McHale logic
Bball IQ ,coaching and overall lack of leadership is what will ultimately hold this team back this year from deep playoff run. Team still looks disorganized, continuously makes horrible decisions, etc. that point to questionable coaching. Talent is unquestioned for this team but because of their poor IQ in certain situations, it would really help if they had a smarter coach to help lead this team when they seem like they need direction. Refereeing was bad today but Rox had a lot of lapses and boneheaded plays that show lack of leadership.
"WHO comes out of a TIMEOUT and just loses their (Miami's) best shooter (Allen)?! There wasn't even a set play, none!" - JVG after Allen, coming out of a Houston timeout, simply drains a wide open three with no one guarding him whatsoever.
Yawn. Nothing's gonna change unless we get utterly embarrassed in the playoffs so I've stopped caring. He is what he is, a coach in training leading one of the most talented NBA teams in the league. He's the 18 year old driving a corvette.
McHale could take this team to the Finals, proceed to lose, and the fans would still want his head. Get off this dudes jockstrap. It doesn't matter who the coach is when you have a team that likes to have FUN. Drop the subject lol. It will make your lives easier.
I feel dirty for even posting in this thread, let alone bumping it but damn. He should feel ashamed for doing something as stupid as hack-a-jordan when we have the best experience of knowing how "well" it works.
Yeah, you should feel ashamed of yourself for bumping this dead dog thread. How low can you go? No shame there I see. Do you really need me to explain basic statistical probabilities to you?
So what if McHale's the worst coach in the NBA. It's like if Parsons plays terrible for two months, he's still going to get 40 minutes a game... McHale will still be our coach.
Feel ashamed for criticizing him when I have been one of his biggest supporters all season? Get off your high horse. Jordan going even 1 for 2 would have been bad. You of all people should understand that.
