A potentially huge blow, but this may be a blessing in disguise too. Get well for the playoffs, Big Man we need you.
Damn. I was looking forward to playing the Clippers at full strength. The last few days have been rough.
I guess the interesting part is the Rockets are officially back to their 2012-2013 lineup. So this would be the best test of "How much better did Dwight Howard make this team?" and "How much could the starting lineup have improved had they made no changes?"
If the Spurs can win while resting players, so can we. Suck it up, Rockets! Don't give in. Win this game!
Hrm, very good point. I guess we can answer a lot of "what if's", though lack of depth vs last year's roster will definitely skew things a bit. No Greg Smith, no TD or PBev on the bench. Still, it will be a good chance to gauge last year's starting unit and answer at least marginally the question of "What if we didn't sign Dwight?"
Howard sitting may be blessing in disguise, I haven't liked what I've seen from him for the past few weeks. He appeared to be playing with a lower energy than usual and on various occasions getting outworked inside. Hopefully he will be rejuvenated for playoffs.
damnit I wanted him to face the thunder when i go next friday. good thing we have a 5 game lead on the blazers right now.
Good point. I had not of it that way. The flip side of that is perhaps we can get some idea of the growth of the Rockets youngsters. Hard to gauge though.
He's the play by play announcer for the Clippers. He's followed by Marc Stein AND Daryl Morey. I don't see any reason why it would NOT be legit...
I am glad he is getting some rest before the playoffs. Asik needs to get into playoff shape anyway. Step it up Rockets and keep winning, just like the Spurs.
I dont care if we win or lose this game. I guess i prefer a loss since it means avoiding the thunder/clippers until the wcf. I am not too worried about the spurs. I actually think duncan is the least threatening PF amongst wc playoff teams. Parker will be tougher without beverley, but nowhere near as bad as guys like westbrook, and paul. Guys like curry, conley, and lillard can get hot offensively as well. Parker has never really burned the rockets like he does other teams.
