I hope they replace Caanan with Bev in the starting line up and keep the bench intact. Cannan is capable of scoring, and handling the ball. There will be defesive woes but hopefully he will learn quickly.

We shouldn't be worried about Lin playing as the starter, we should worry about the 2nd unit.

Curry and Lillard laughing all the way to the bank now.
    This one hurts bad.

Jeremy Lin gonna have hard time defending these two.

Patrick Beverley isn’t a great defender as certain part of the media try to make him seem to be. He puts in more of an effort than Harden, but a lot of players do that. He tries to get into the heads of the guys he’s guarding, sure. There’s nothing wrong with his defense, but trying to make him look like some premier perimeter stopper is simply putting him in a position where he is destined to disappoint and ulitmately fail.

There's perception and there's reality and it's also nice that you quote the teams that bev gave then headaches. For anybody who calls bev dirty, show videos where he intentionally, maliciously tried to hurt anybody. Dirty players are associated with cheap fouls. Either you show proof or shut up with that nonsense.

No significant drop off? Lol. When has there been any analyst, coach, player ever mentioned Lin being known for his defense? Lin's defense is decent but saying no significant is crazy. Bev is a defensive SPECIALIST just as harden is an offensive specialist.

Another aspect is those top point guards are their focal points on offense in their respective teams. Lin and Bev were naturally in a disadvantage since they their primary role were containing them, they don't have the leverage to going hard at those top guards in the offensive end. If Lin is given more opportunities in the offensive end, it would be a different ball game, for example, against curry who is not a good defender, you got to attack him in the offensive end. That's what Lin did last season and he was quite successful.

    Defense create Offense.
    Offense help Defense.
    It's mutual.

Lin's offense can help to beat OKC (with WestBrook)

You are probably right but I hope you are wrong and Lin lights it up. I think the rockets won one game against the clippers by 20 points last year.

A table with a small as sample size is not relevant data. You can also discredit that table because beverley starts and contains paul to similar numbers as lin while he is still fresh. Also, beverley forces so many more turnovers than lin. Those translate to easy buckets which you dont see because defense leads to offense.

THAN LIN IS THE GREATEST PG ON THE ROSTER AND I WILL PUT IT IN MY SIG. That is how confident i am.

Lin isn't exactly 100% either it seems.

Think he's been on that bike in game with that ice pack in the back for the past month, although he did say it felt a lot better since that Pacers game (I think).

As much as I hate on the guy, rival posters do have a point. Look at those solid screens that Asik and Smith give Lin. He's never got a decent screen set for him by Howard. I mean ever. If Lin feels good, we only need to worry about the bench pg. Is Canaan worthy?

That is true about the screens. I hate to admit this because Dwight is my boy. It's a damn shame Mchale can't teach simple ****.

    But...but...the numbers are clear!

    Sorry couldn't resist.
Anyway Lin actually does well against elite pgs not named Chris Paul and Westbrook. Clutch fans seem to have short memories. But Canaan should start and step up on his defense so Lin can still lead the 2nd unit.

Man this sucks. Lin just doesn't have the tenacity and hustle that Bev brings. Yeah, you could argue that Bev has gotten burned sometimes and that Bev is just as bad on going under screens all you want, but he has the ability to get into top point guard's heads and annoy them. He plays very physical and can make these point guards more tired. Lin just doesn't have the physicality and aggression to do that.

That being said, I think Lin will play well the rest of the regular season and should carry on in the playoffs (hopefully we play Portland first). I think the bigger issue and what people should really be focusing on is our bench. Can Canaan give us a solid 15 minutes in the playoffs when he's barely sniffed the court all year and has looked fairly poor/unaccustomed in his short amount of minutes thus far?

Now without Bev and a weaker bench, I don't see us making the 2nd round. But I've learned that when Harden is on, he can almost single handedly carry us to a victory against any team. If all our starters play their A games and if Dmo and Asik can guide our bench to be at least decent, I feel like we could make a run at the WCF.

But I have to say, the odds got way less in my mind
