Jeremy Lin's most important role in his short career has come to being. He will be the default starting PG because Beverly is out. The Rockets will be in the playoffs will high expectations. Will we see a new Rocket Playoff Legend?
Jeremy is going to put up points in the playoffs. its all bout defense and making your teammates better on the court. and cutting down the turnovers. if he does that, then we can beat anyone.
I just pray he doesn't get injured again. His performance in the playoffs is the deciding factor, imo, if i want him to stay as a Rocket next season. It'd be sucky if hets booted or stays because he got injured again for the 3rd straight time during the playoffs. Plus, if he gets injured, no one would play PG for us anymore lolz
I love how tinman actually disguises T-Mac threads as Lin threads knowing that he'll get more attention.
Coach mchale has two starting worthy point guards. Lin is a classy dude, never complained, accepted whatever role coaches want him to play.
The playoffs ride much more on Lin's defense than offense. The Rockets starting 5 definitely do not need more offense. They are shot starved. Lillard, Westbrook, Curry, Paul, Parker await. Poor defense on those players means playoff flame out for the Rockets. The positive side is that Lin has been quite good on defense the last 8 weeks. At least that is what advanced stats are telling me.
lol. i seriously do not know why i keep coming back to this board. it annoys me so much. but i can't stay away. it's a like a drug. would there be a thread for if "beverley would be a hero in the playoffs?" no, you know why? because when it comes to anyone else besides lin, this board thinks somewhat rationally. and that's the fact that we don't need lin to be a hero in the playoffs, nor would we need beverley to have been one. you know why? because at best, they're the 4th, maybe likely 5th best player on the team. unless we're defining "hero" differently. we just need lin to not screw up. hit open shots, put pressure on the defense, and play solid d. we've seen he's capable of this in a starter role even this season. will lin be a hero? no, because if we're going to advance and we're going to go far, it will be a TEAM EFFORT. if anyone is gonna be a hero, it's going to be harden or dwight. ultimately, they are our barometers. unless we're classifying hero as not sucking....then i don't know. will lin play well? i sure hope so. we'll just see. what's the point of this thread? can anyone here tell the future whether lin will be a "hero" or play well? seriously. tinman has to be one of the worst posters on this board. please tell me what the point of this thread is?
what is the point of this thread? Lin doesn't need to be the hero. the entire teams needs to play well off of each other, keep the ball moving, and not be selfish. If they do that, they'll be fine.
When the Rockets had success in the playoffs historically, heroes emerged besides the stars.
