    Not even close

Plus Hamilton can't handle the ball enough to play next to harden as a starter

Remember when everyone was like wtf morey for signing brooks when we had lin and beverley. And then again when we signed him again and drafted canaan.

Guess you cant have enough point guards.

Because he knows he'll log on to Clutchfans tonight and all the work will be done. It's like Christmas. Morey Claus always gets all the credit.

It depends on if the player has played in the NBA this season and if so when they were waived. Here's a pretty good summary of the different scenarios:

A player is waived, clears waivers, and is signed by another team before March 23rd at 11:00pm
    Eligible for postseason: Yes
Example: Ronny Turiaf. Turiaf was waived by the Nuggets on March 18th and signed with the Heat on March 21st, making him playoff-eligible for Miami.

A player is waived before March 23rd, but clears waivers and is signed by another team after March 23rd.
    Eligible for postseason: Yes
Example: Rasual Butler. The Raptors waived Butler on the 23rd, meaning he wouldn't clear waivers until after the deadline. But he will still be eligible for the postseason if a new team signs him.

A player is waived and is signed by another team after March 23rd.
    Eligible for postseason: No
Example: No one on a guaranteed contract has been waived since the 23rd, but anyone released between now and season's end won't be eligible for the playoffs with a new team.

A player on a 10-day contract has the deal expire after March 23rd and signs a rest-of-season deal with any team after March 23rd.
    Eligible for postseason: Yes
Example: Mike James. James became a free agent on Saturday, when his second 10-day deal with the Bulls expired. However, because his contract wasn't guaranteed for the season, James retains playoff eligiblity if he's signed by the Bulls or another team.

A player signs with a team after March 23rd, having not played for an NBA team yet this season.
    Eligible for postseason: Yes
Example: After playing in China, Patrick Mills has returned to America and signed with the Spurs. Because San Antonio is his first NBA team this season, he'll be playoff-eligible, regardless of whether he finalized his contract before or after March 23rd. A player who has been a free agent all year long, such as James Posey or Michael Finley, could also sign now and be playoff-eligible

No point signing someone, only 12 games to go and whoever we sign can't play in the playoffs IIRC.

Might as well start getting Canaan ready for backup minutes before the playoffs, and minimize the impact by moving Harden over to PG more often and playing Hamilton/Garcia more at the 2.

If the player hasn't played in the NBA this season or they were waived prior to the deadline then they are eligible to play in the playoffs.

    Thanks!

This changes the question to: is it worth signing someone who only has 12 games to get acquainted with the squad and the defensive system in place? Is there anyone on the market good enough to make it worth it?

I still think we should stick with Canaan and Harden to fill in for Bev. Canaan knows the system and he is a good 3pt shooter. We've been preparing him all season and our upcoming schedule is fairly light.

Overall I don't think anyone is going to come in and fill that void, so if it's going to be bad then might as well go with someone who has a chance of improving quickly and also someone whose improvement benefits the team long term.

How about letting Harden play PG in stretches?

If Lin is resting, we can trot out something like Harden, Hamilton, Parsons, Jones/Dmo, and Dwight/Asik.

I hope we bring up Daniels again because now if you have Harden getting more time at PG, you need a backup SG and I would love to see Daniels bombing threes in our offense.

He's sincerely trying to make a comeback, but i'm sure he was joking about the foot speed thing.

Zoran Dragic. Poor guy couldn't buy a shot in summer camp that year we brought him in. Maybe he's magically turned into a better version of Goran?

Yeah terrible idea. Looks like Troy Daniels is the only option. But I duno. Morey's on the phones right now I'm sure.

Has any team picked up Beno Udrih after he was let go from the Knicks? Dude can shoot, and he's a smart veteran point guard to can run an offense.

Desean Jackson just got released. He's fast and probably as tough as Beverley.

Just start canaan and let him play 20 mins per game. Bring the ball up and pass it to Harden, take corner three and play some defence. It won't be a big problem. The only concern is Harden's defensive effort!
