What a massive blow, and of course it happened against a trash 76ers team. It's hard to get excited for the playoffs right now...

Tragic. His such an important component to this team. He brings hustle, heart and indirectly strengthens the bench by allowing Lin to play 6th man.

His a warrior tho, look for him to be back just for the play offs...his attitude in life (not only the court) is something to look up to

Hopefully, Beverly opts for surgery and comes back in time for the playoffs.

You're just as bad as the LOFs you say you dislike.

Just the other side of the coin.

I hope he does whats best for him because that is what should be best for the team in the long run. We still have him for another season at 1 million and that team should be better than this one obviously since morey will add picks and FAs to it.

How long is the learning period? One quarter? Few games? One season? We have no patience at this age! It takes few years but people want him to be traded in his second season.

I can finally watch Jeremy Lin play again???
Not saying anything negative about PB but i did say it sucks for people like PB and CP getting paid peanuts doing so much while Lins getting to sit around all day.

If we are talking long term, then it's moot point either way; Lin is leaving by the end of next season regardless. I just honestly don't see him staying with us, either voluntary or not. Just my opinion of course.

I think some people are a little misinformed on how you approach meniscus tears. I'm not a doctor, but as medical student, I think I should share a little bit of my knowledge on that.
Having your meniscus removed or repaired is NOT a choice you make. It depends on the location and the size of the tear. A meniscus is attached to the capsule in the periphery and has a posterior and an anterior horn that extend into the knee joint, making them C-shaped. The area where they are attached to the capsule has blood vessels which is why it is called the 'red zone'. If the tear is located in that red zone, you would try to repair it since it has a good chance to heal. However, if the tear is located in the central part of the menisci which are avascular, you would have to remove the damaged part since it will not heal, trying to remove only as much as you have to.
If Bev has a tear in the avascular part, the damaged portion will be removed and he might come back in the playoffs. However, if the tear can be repaired, it should be since the long-term results are better when both menisci are still intact. In that case, I think that his season is over.

Not only that, he's a mental midget. He shrinks on the big stage, acting scared with the deer in headlights look. It's going to be a total disaster.

i think you are wrong. anytime you play with the starters it makes a lot easier to play the game than with the bench players. with harden especially making most of the game points, it is easier to concentrate more on defense and less on offense. beverly is not required to make all the points because he can depend on the rest of the starters to do that. i hope beverly can come back for the playoff. we need him along with lin to play the PG position. :(

Yup. And he sucked right after that. Just collected some Knicks' retirement benefits then he's out.
