The rockets had to be on an 8 game win streak and parsons was balling. Morey should have sold high on him. With the way parsons, bev, and rondo are playing now it's no longer on the table. Rondo is getting 14 assists and less than 2 rebounds on that crappy celtics team. They would want asik, but that's ok. Rondo is a rare player.

It took him a while to decide but, Barkley was right and i knew he was. You dont pass up on rondo, harden and dwight.

That trade was never going to be accepted by the Celtics. Only Rockets fans thought Ainge would take our role players for Rondo.

Most were not reveling. There are a lot of posters here so a few may seem like a lot. But it was nothing in comparison to okc fans who wanted to kill beverley.

    :(:(:(

This sucks. If Beverley's out for the year, I don't think the Rockets can go very far in the playoffs.

It's not that. It is if the tear is repaired or if they just remove the torn cartilage. Removal is not the way to go. He needs to have it repaired which will force him to miss the playoffs. It sucks, but that's how it has to be.

The loss is not my focus, the Chris Paul putting up

    23 points, 17 assists, 2 steals, 2 turnovers on 13 shots.

David aldridge confirmed it. At the time parsons, asik, 2 picks and maybe beverley was a great offer and the best they could get. Heck, it still is. Many teams dont want rondo for the same reason many fans dont. He cant shoot the three at a high rate. That and most teams who could afford them are well off at the point.

No , you have it wrong, or David Aldridge does. The rockets weren't going to deal Parsons for a wild card like Rondo.

The last time I felt this deflated was when it was announced that Yao broke his foot against the Lakers in the '09 Playoffs

This sucks ass and there is no way around it. Our perimeter defense *with* Beverley is a problem. Turning it over to Lin and Caanan does not fill me with confidence. Nevertheless, they've got to step it up. If Lin has a future as a significant contributor on a winning team we need him to play with poise and energy. I don't want that hangdog, woe-is-me crap he can revert to. As for our rookie, anything we get from him is gravy. I have no good expectations from him. Can Troy Daniels give us anything playing spot minutes in the backcourt?

It was also reported multiple times thru multiple sources that there were never any major trade discussions between the Rockets and Celtics.

That trade offer is still bad for Boston unless both of those first round picks are guaranteed top 5 picks which they wouldn't have been.

This might get me branded as an LOF, but disagreeing with yourself within 2 pages is not a good way to convince me of your point.

That said, Bev going down is really going to stretch our guard depth. Who's gonna give us that 20-30 productive minutes at the spot?

Yeah that was the last time for me. I actually was at that game after he was hurt. I went with my mom for Mother's Day and we had seats right behind the Rocket bench. It was so awesome seeing the Rockets come out with so much passion after Yao went down.

LOL...if Bev was at shutdown as half the people here keep screaming...then you combine that with Harden/Howard/Parsons along with opposing PG shut down.......the Rox would cruise to an NBA title which they werent.

These elite PG's cannot be stopped by one man. People see one great Bev pick pocket and goes nuts and forget stuff like what Kemba Walker did to him earlier this week. He gets picked and screened just as bad as Lin.

The worry is not Lin replacing Bev, it's Canaan or whoever they may bring in figuring out how to run the offense the 10-15 min they play.
