A big no, see Brandon Roy. As much as I'd like to see him in the playoff, I care more about his long term health. Pat deserves more, let say if he has locked a 5 year contract with true his worth value, l'd say he probably can try the short return. Pat is earning close to minimum now, so big no. Same applies to parsons. I like to see them get paid first.

Nope...this is normal. You want to make sure...doesn't mean anything about you don't like what you're hearing.

Let give Lin some credits. He is the guy, you can put him on the court to rest Bev, Harden or even Parsons. You can leave him on the court to lead 4 bench players or put him back when team needs to changes playing pace or style. He is also the one has to change his role, starting or 2 unit, back up different position during Bev, Harden or Parsons' injury. To me, he is another type of glue player. Let's hope he can step out when Rockets need him most.

    Go Rockets!

i'd say play lin with the backup team. canaan won't really be able to handle the 2nd unit. he doesn't have enough experience really.

Absolutely, I'm with you, YHS- let's have faith in Lin and the rest of the starting 5. This ain't last year, and this ain't the beginning of this year, either. Reggie Jackson stepped up for Westbrook- although probably not at the same level, I think Lin can do something similar. And the bench? Heck, give Canaan a chance, at least. Look what happened when an unknown Sam Cassell, a #24 pick, got the chance to step up. You just never know.

    I like Lin.

But it might make sense to play Canaan with the starters. Because lets face it, Harden is going to be playing point. Canaan can basically just chill at the three point line.

His D is going to be a huge liability though. Harden and Canaan on D... its going to get ugly.

LIN and Harden can rotate to run the 2nd unit
    Just like last year.

Big hit to our defense and depth. It's going to be interesting how the rotation will change.

I actually agree with you, either way I don't think it will be a big deal.

Although I believe we're a better team overall with Lin starting, not having that defensive edge and energy from Beverley is a big loss. I think Lin will step up and take advantage of this opportunity. I'm more concerned about Canaan being ready to backup. Maybe there was a trade clause where we can rescind and get AB back? Make it happen Morey.

    Your right.
I would start Canon and play him the first few minutes then sub in Lin until Harden comes out and back in again.

    Damn,get well soon Pat.

This hurts are depth, if anything I would still want Lin to run the second unit and try Harden at Point?

    Who knows but go Rockets.

Absolute BS- have faith in our team- I love Beverly, but he ain't Harden and he ain't Howard- and he ain't even Parsons. He's our 4th or 5th best player, and as much as we'll miss him, we can do this. Lin for the Win!!!!

He was the main reason i felt comfortable against the elite pg teams we will likely face in the first and second round. Lillard, curry, conley, parker all struggle against him.

He was the reason i could see us making the wcf. Now i just cant see it at all. At least jeremy and canaan will develop this season

Bet you guys who said why did we sign brooks both feel dumb.

I'm excited to see what Canaan can do. I really think he can give us solid minutes as a backup

    Harden
    Howard
    Parsons
    Lin
    Jones

    D-Mo
    Canaan
    Hamilton
    Asik

Yeah, we can do this. We're going to surprise some people- they'll count us out due to the Beverly situation- good. Let them.

The thing is, if you read what the doctor says, it probably won't be a choice for the Rockets. The reason removal is probable is because most meniscus tears can't be repaired, not that the player or team chooses it.

It's less about making a choice and more about what the MRI/exploratory surgery shows. I'd imagine it's an awkward situation because the most favorable result for Beverley (a tear that can be stitched back together, like Westbrook/Rose) is the worst result for this year's team... and vice-versa.
