Long story short, I do believe Lin will rise to the challenge, and for that matter, canaan will fill in admirably as a reserve guard...have faith rockets fans, this team still has Harden and Howard

My initial reaction is hell no. AB has playoff experience and has done well in many playoff games. Canaan is a rookie that has not looked that compose (as do most rookies) and we are talking about the PG position... then I realize, what we need from our PG isn't what most team need from their PG. James can play that role. We just need solid D, bring up the ball, don't turn it over, hit your 3pts shot (which Canaan can be solid at) and occasionally run some plays.

The problem is you need that in a PG that play with Harden. You can't have a PG in that role when Harden is resting.... so I think they will need to see how this goes for the next few games but my guess is they will have to make sure Lin (Parson is also an option) is always in the game when Harden is resting.

But really, we need to sign a veteran PG. If either Lin or even Canaan go down, WTH we do?

We won't hear until next week, but they're looking for a 2nd opinion to see if he can do it with rehab.

That said, that doesn't always bode well. If a sports team is seeking a 2nd opinion, it usually means they didn't like what the 1st opinion told them ...

Still, I can't see how Bev gets back before the 2nd round of the play offs if he has surgery to repair the meniscus. All you can do is hope for the rehab option, and we won't even know if that's on the cards until next week.

Need to switch Harden to point and play a combo of Lin/Hamilton/Garcia at the 2.

Didn't Bledsoe get his meniscus removed? How long did it take for him to come back?

Just, when everything looked so promising, this happens. That's taking starting PG from a title contender (in my mind Rockets are). That just sux :(

A huge blow to a Rockets team that seemed to be firing on all cylinders. Lin will have to step up his game, pronto. The biggest thing that may cause us to lose now is our bench. Our starting lineup is fine, hell start Canaan as a body and let Lin lead the bench because they're headless chickens without him. In all serious business, I hope Bev has 100% recovery and maintains his upward growth. Some people never fully come back from a meniscus tear.

We were not gonna win it all this year anyway so oh well.
Just go as far as you can in the playoffs then pray that Melo comes to Houston next season.

We should probably wait until they do the full update before we get our hopes up. While there is a decent chance of it NOT requiring repair, we just don't know.

And recovery times are all over the place. We won't know until next week.

I said he should come off the bench and play about 20+minutes, not 30+.

The Rockets have been overused him.

Patrick Bev is like Rafer Alston. He isn't that good. Maybe Caanan turns out to be the next kyle lowry.

With Lin presumably playing full time PG role, who is going to play the backup 2 that he used to play when both Bev and Lin were in the games together? Hamilton?
