"Ready and warmed up before playoffs"? Seriously???:confused:

We're talking about finding a backup PG to help us in the NBA PLAYOFFS. Daniels and Covington are both at least a year away from providing anything of value on this level. This isn't about giving some playing time to a couple of D-leaguers and hoping for a miracle, it's about finding someone with experience who won't absolutely poo himself when he's staring into Chris Paul's and Tony Parker's faces.

I thought the deadline has passed to sign players for the playoffs. If we do pickup a FA point guard, they will only be signed for the remainder of regular season.

Not sure offhand, but isn't there a disabled player exception possible for such situations? Though I think we would have to rule out Bev for the season to be eligible...

Could be the next great Rocket reclamation PG. That should be Morey's slogan when he recruits these PGs, come to Houston and you'll be an NBA starter.

    Brooks
    Lowery
    Dragic
    Lin
    Beverley

    Who's next???

The best candidate is the team play. You don't have pat Beverly, you adjust, everyone does a little bit more on defense. He is not James harden, not Dwight, the rox is fine.

Terrible news about Bev. And terrible options for a replacement. Anyone who is signed must not have played this season for any team or else he will not be eligible for the playoffs.

If there aren't any point guards that interest, I won't be surprised if we go after a shooting guard and let James man the back up point. It's a lot to ask James to do but he does have point guard skills.

Isaiah Canaan, your current backup PG, has played a grand total of 76 minutes in the NBA.

    NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME.

I know it is not east for him, but he is a talented kid, he needs a few true games to shed off the nerves, he will get better.

Sasha's a better shooter than Garcia. And like Garcia, will hustle his arse off. Neither are very athletic tho.
