Wasn't he the point guard for the Lakers in the early 90's? lol

Bad news. Bev's our best perimeters defender, a key player.

Note to McHale (based on observations from last season): Please, remember that either Harden or Lin should be on the floor at all times. That means if Lin is starting, he's got to be pulled relatively early to stagger their minutes.

If JVG was still the coach he'd likely have his wish.

Why don't Houston play Harden as PG and start Hamilton and Chandler at the same time. That way, there is no drop off in performance. Let Lin continue to come off the bench and insert Casspi and Garcia in the 2nd unit.

For those LOFs insisting the drop off from Bev to Lin's defense is probably 10% while the Rockets could even gain more on offense,

    well, you are dreaming.

Bev is shooting 40% in Feb and 38% in Mar in 3 PT range, Lin's number is not even close.

If you still have doubts, check Lin's number against the other top 8 playoff teams in the west this season (including the current 9th seed team), you will be amazed how poorly he played under pressure from good quality teams for the season.

Canaan needs to play 20+ minutes per game between now and the end of the season. Needs the experience and the conditioning.

Harden will have a bad time defending the PG position. He's a better post defender than a perimeter defender.

    Least surprising news ever.

No positives from this injury, but at least Isaiah Canaan will get some real experience before next season and Jeremy Lin will get his first real (significant) taste of the playoffs.

His breakout season was in Houston for the 1997 playoff run, along with Eddie "Money" Johnson.

I agree, the defensive intensity in the playoffs is night and day. Its the reason the Phoenix teams with Steve Nash sucked so bad in the playoffs, 62 wins to only lose in the second round.

Should be fun regardless but unless they win the finals there will be the, "if Bev was there to shut down Parker, Lillard....etc we would have won." Trust me, those guys will go off on the Rockets, I just hope they win in spite of it.
