Triple double before the 4th quarter. Video game character in real life! The day draws near where Harden joins Lebron and Durant in the tier known as "Living Cheat Codes"!

This thread is a joke. Someone actually compared tmacs overall stats to hardens prime stats. Compare harden and tracy at 24 and it is clear. Compare tracy at the same age leading a craptastic magic team to 7 games against the nbas best defense when it wasnt so easy to get to the basket to harden with parsons, asik, beverley, brooks, delfino, and garcia against a thunder team without one of their max players for most of the series.

When they focused on harden they took him out. When the pistons focused on mcgrady he still got his numbers, but the rest of the team missed wide open threes and lay ups which cost them the series.

So much what have you done for me lately in this thread. This is why kobe and lebron are better than jordan.

    Please. Jordan > kobe> lebron...Kids.

Game recognize game. Kobe said tracy was the hardest player to defend.

that's all he ever cared about though. He never cared about anything else. Why did you think he quit in the toronto game? why do you think he clashed with Rick Adelman?

    "It's on me'"-tracy mcgrady

"I'm proud to be part of the team to bring a championship to the city of Houston"-hakeem olajuwon

Who said thats all he ever cared about. You assume that. The man was in tears after he lost to the jazz. He was very unselfish and he passed to guys like rafer amd found post players like yao, scola, and landry in the paint.

There is nothing wrong with taking responsibility of fetting out of the first round. That was his biggest mistake. In the end it came down to a few rebounds, why do you blame him for that? Okur and boozer killed yao, howard, and hayes.

Battier got so many open threes in the corner thanks to mcgrady.

I think you blame mcgrady for jvg making him the offense. He wanted him the be the facilitator and to creat offense for everyone including himself. Teams would front, and doubl/triple team yao leading to turnovers.

    Mcgrady was jvgs offense.

Lol. People are really something else. I've seen many times the argument being made that McGrady didn't lead the Rockets to the 22 game win streak. Even though he was the most important player on that team for most of the streak (and yes I realize he didn't play in a few games).

Now I'm seeing the argument that McGrady led the Magic to a league worst record.

So, which of those is it? Probably whichever is more convenient for whoever's argument at a given time. :p

Interesting fact is that Doc Rivers was "leading" all those Orlando teams during that time. And he was fired for it. But that's just how life is. Sometimes you luck (Boston was terrible before Ainge made great moves to form the big 3) into a better situation as was Rivers case and win a championship. Others you don't.

in the entire history of the nba, nobody should feel sorry for someone with talent who never accomplished anything team wise .

If you have talent and leadership ability you win. You are the Isaiah Thomas's ? Magic, Jordan's wrx

You've convinced me. Tracy McGrady is the best guard in Magic history.

People can feel whatever they want Tinman. You are clear in how you feel, but of course other people will have a different opinion.

If Tracy was drafted by the lakers and played at the same level with Shaquille he would have at least one ring as the 2nd best player and your whole perception of him would have changed, and that is a fact.

Also to add a lot of people that didn't get to see them or forget, but a declining Clyde Drexler came in and led the Rockets to a 6th seed, it could have actually been a lot worse had Drexler not put the entire team on his shoulders when Hakeem was out, and someone else was not playing well maybe Kenny at the time I forget it might have even been the absence of a low post threat, but Drexler did stuff in 95 that everyone said he couldn't do. He did it and it helped the Rockets and he carried that attitude into the playoffs hard.

Yes Clyde did an amazing job leading the Rockets especially considering Vernon Maxwell did his best to sabotage that season and quit on the Rockets.

That team is truly inspirational. Clyde is a true Rockets legend.

dude I know you are much smarter than this post.

You make assumptions on hypothetical 'if' scenarios, which you can't do. Here's one, what happens if Dwight Howard/Kobe/Steve Nash joined forces? a championship?

    No.

Tracy's career is over, it should be extremely easy to analyze.

When we got Tracy we got hope, then we got reality. Some of us stopped at reality, but the others went to the phase called denial.

His career path wasn't chosen by a basketball god, it was chosen by TRACY MCGRADY. He chose to leave Toronto, then chose to leave Orlando and chose to leave Houston. And he even decided to go to China.

I don't deny McGrady was driven by glory, it was driven by self glory, and it shows.

As for what "IF" , that doesn't even work in reality. Get two good looking tree huggers like Chris Martin and Gwenth Paltrow together and they'll live happily ever after..NOPE.

    SING IT CHRIS

Given that he stays here for his next contract, he's certainly on pace to become the greatest SG. Drexler/Tmac didn't play their entire career here so it won't take long for Harden to catch up.
