jtr would tell you that you're wrong about the Royce White situation because he broke his hand punching a wall due to his daugther. After all,
Since he now has 30 seconds of NBA playing time, I feel comfortable saying that he is the worst player to ever step foot on the court. There have been a lot of terrible players, but only one Royce White.
“I think (the issues) kind of resolved themselves over time” -- read this again jtr -- did your MH issues just kind of resolve themselves over the course of about a year?
General Anxiety Disorder/Panic Disorder. I take klonopin. I have zero side effects. I was drowsy the first few days, that's about it. If I miss a dose, the only way I can tell is if I start having panic attack symptoms. I have accidentally double dosed before, just got a little drowsy, like I just stuffed myself full of turkey. This condition runs pretty rampant in my family, 3 other members are on klonopin, they are on much smaller doses however. No side effects for them either. There are different severity levels of this condition, mine was pretty severe, in less severe cases, simple therapy and breathing excercises could do the trick.
Yeah just like he likes to label all persons with a mental illness as "insane." That statement is what's insane. Kind of like "I think the issues kind of just resolved themselves over time." Hell maybe Royce is crazy after all with statements like that.
Aren't you idealizing him too much? Even if he was 100% healthy mentally the only NBA-level skills he has are handles and passing, everything else is below D-league level including defense, rebounding, shooting and athleticism. I mean take a look at MKG. That guy has no mental problems, has great intangibles, is more athletic than Royce, has better defense than Royce, and has an IQ and passing ability just as good as or better than Royce. He's like a billionaire's version of Royce White. And yet you still have people saying he'll be nothing more than an NBA rotation player because he has a broken J. So while White has some NBA-level skills, it's not enough for him to be effective in the NBA, he's not like Cousins or Drummond who has this amazing wealth of NBA talent he just needs to tap into. He still has a lot to work on, and a lot of people pinned their hopes on his seemingly high mental fortitude will to improve on his interview. But now it's pretty clear the dude doesn't have the motivation to work on his game, he doesn't have the type of fire that someone like Bev or Lowry do, and that kind of motivation is needed to improve your game. So to be honest Philly did the right thing by cutting him, that roster space is better spent on someone who might turn out to be a star, because Royce White will certainly never be one, at until he stops all this "be well" nonsense and starts hitting the gym hard.
I saw that the Kings were up by ~25 going into the 4th and switched to the game, thinking he was going to see action. NOPE lol
I hope RW lands in jail for failing to pay his child support, there he can toss all the a$$ salad to his heart's content.
I feel there was an error made in not noting his stats against the Knicks: 7 minutes and 10 seconds played 0 stats of any kind EXCEPT 2 fouls. If those were his last NBA minutes, then I think it will be a fitting finale.
But..... the Kings left the door open : http://cowbellkingdom.com/2014/03/27/no-new-contract-for-royce-white-with-sacramento-kings/ “The door is not closed,” Malone said after practice when asked about the potential for White to rejoin the team after its upcoming three-game road trip. “The 10-day has ended, but that doesn’t mean that the relationship has ended for good.” ... “The NBA skill that he possesses right now is his ability to be a facilitator, almost like to be a point forward out there,” Malone said of White. “But when you’re out of the game as long as he was, just kind of back home, not playing, it’s gonna take a while for you to get back into a rhythm and step into an NBA game to play.” ... “I think for him and his future and his career, he has to start amending some of the things that have happened in the past,” Malone said of White. “Everybody here can only speak positively about our time with Royce and as we just mentioned, it doesn’t mean that his time here is over. For right now it is, but I appreciate his hard work.” -
But this is a HOME game right? He'll never make it on the road. Wait til he has to travel from SAC to NY. We gave him his own bus and driver and he still couldn't handle it. Good luck Sacramento. He's your problem now.... Better let him get his 10 min (or 10 days) of fame. Signing him long term is fruitless.
