I personally can't except that! I'm not saying ghosts as in seeing a dead relative or anything of that nature! What I am saying (without getting religious) is that there might be more than we are able to see and understand that defy's all logic! We can disagree IF you like, but I can't say with certainty that another dimension doesn't exist! No I haven't been drinking or taken any drugs! Ain't nobody got time fo dat! ....... ....... .......
Never seen a ghost... I have experienced things that cant be explained but its not something I feel is worth my time thinking/talking about.... Buuuut I will say this... The Bible is still a historical writing whether you are Christian or not... Its old.... Really old... And it talks about ghosts several times.... Don't think there was scary movies and shows to blame back then.... Leviticus 19:31, NKJV. "Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God."
Never seen a ghost either Salvy, and like yourself, get my point of view from the Bible as well! It was getting a little lonely on this Island. Glad you were more direct with your answer! ....... ....... .......
I've always wondered how many atheists here believe in ghosts, and if so, how they reconcile that with their atheism.
You cant be an atheist and believe in ghosts... It be a contradiction. The base of atheism is the denial of the existence of a higher being and or a God. In The Christian Faith it is believed that life does not end once you die in the flesh but that those who accept Jesus Christ as Lord will have eternal life in spirit. Ghosts would automatically mean that spirits are real and that we are not just flesh bodies walking around making threads about Tim Duncan's ghost experiences... I'm sure there are atheist out there than can still defend their point of view but ah no... That be stretching it to believe in ghosts and not God.......
Gotta be direct with this stuff.... Some don't believe in Biblical scripture and or don't take it seriously as a historical piece of civilization but it is.... You can take ancient scriptures from Greek historians and find information about a man name Christos during the same time that it is believed Jesus Christ walked the earth. Christos was also crucified.... Something had to happen.. Read The Annals by Tacitus a roman historian who actually speaks about a mocked man who went by the name of Christos... Crucified...
You're right! This political correct, get along with everybody is for the birds. I'll definitely try to read the book. Thanks! ....... ....... .......
Does sleep paralysis episodes count? If so, I had something crawl onto the bed. Saw and felt the blanket being pushed down and even heard a growl. There was also a day where all of my neighbour's chickens were beheaded. I peered over the fence and saw headless chicken corpses. Neighbour didn't do it. Im sure people wouldn't do that even if they are annoying sometimes. Not to mention a dead crow with its chest ripped open. Cant be stray cats since theyd eat it or try to. So it must be....
Paranormal no, but I have seen a UFO before. Whether it was alien or military I couldn't tell you. It definitely gave me an extreme, almost nauseating feeling of unease though.
It's pretty ignorant to say "ghosts" or anything paranormal doesn't exist when so many people had to see SOMETHING that was obviously out of the ordinary. Here's another one, and this time he's not Mexican. A friend of mine's aunt was in the emergency room and was at the brink of dying at the same time my friend was in the garage. The garage ALWAYS stank of glue and paint, and all of a sudden there was a smell of roses, as if a bottle of perfume had been broken. 5 minutes later they got a phone call, his aunt had died. Also around the time my grandmother died, my mom was packing stuff to the car to visit them at around 12 AM. Then all of a sudden some light-up dolls in the living room began to play pretty much at random, again at about the same time my grandmother unfortunately passed away. Several months after we returned my mom heard the little music box just turn on all of a sudden, it was a wind-up so there's no way it could've just played. My dad heard it just as it was quieting down around 3 AM and immediately said "yeah, that's gotta her". I also heard from somewhere a somewhat scientific explanation for ghosts, something about humans are energy and, of course, energy cannot be destroyed. When we die, that energy has to go somewhere, if so much of it remains (I don't remember all of it, but that's the gist of it).
I went through a period in the in the early 2000s where over the course of about 2-3 months I would see what I called 'Black Shadows' -- after taking some time to read about the phenomenon I found out they have been very common throughout history and are better known today as Shadow People and historically as Incubus and Succubus. I'm very comfortable with sleep paralysis and lucid dreaming so I never felt any fear when it would happen -- it usually went like this -- I would wake in the early morning about 4 am and would be fully awake and alert, but completely immobilized. I would lay and watch as sinuous black form almost like smoke, but in a vaguely human form would move around the room. It was always just one and it seemed like I was been studied and some sort of contact was being attempted. I would sometimes try to ask them questions and the closest I ever got to an answer was this... I asked 'what's your name' and the thing came to the side of my bed and with a long twig like finger it started to 'write' something on my back. This was the only time I lost it and forced myself to wake up -- it was just too real and freaky. I know it is just a strange sleep phenomena, but it was as real feeling as me typing out this post right now. I only ever saw them in one house I lived in -- it hasn't happened again since that time period. It was a very cool experience -- I wish it would happen again. I've had sleep paralysis and lucid dreaming on many occasions since then, but only over that short time period did I experience the shadows. It's a very well documented experience throughout history -- most are terrified or at least frightened -- I will always wonder what it is in our mind that creates such a specific situation that is so bizarre.
