just for the record, talking about Manziel's attributes is not the same as trashing Bridgewater or saying that he doesn't have some of the same attributes.

the Bridgewater fanaticism, paranoia, and defensiveness is ridiculous. the thread was a about Manziel ...who had a great pro day if you haven't already heard.

What, are you saying judging someones entire future on one day is unreasonable? What should we look at instead, their entire body of work? Pfft.

Then why do they have Pro days, and why do coaches and GM's show up to watch?

I wonder if Manziel will rise up the boards now.

The media drives certain players, but in the end, the draft always seems to be completely different.

Manziel might be a Texan. I just don't think Bortles will be that pick.

Gus Bradley sure is talking up Johnny... If the Texans don't draft him he may not have to worry about falling to the 2nd round.

    Duh...

You're acting like today is the first time anyone has ever heard of Johnny Manziel.

Pro days can affect how teams feel about a player to a degree, but that's not the same thing as it being an accurate barometer of a players career. By now we've all heard about crappy QBs who had great pro days and great QBs who had crappy pro days. It's a piece of the puzzle, just not a large one when one compared a players entire body of work.

Johnny had an impressive day, but the questions around him like how well he can actually read a defense or his willingness to stay in the pocket in the face of pressure (brooms don't count) can't be answered in a workout like this. So while he looked good in what he did, the questions that existed about him before are still there.

Also, GM's and coaches do get to sit down and talk with/interview the prospect in a more in depth way than they're allowed to at the combine. That might actually play as big a role in things as the actual workout.

Yeah I was watching the QB camp and that made me chuckle.

Ask me about 3 months ago who I wanted #1 and I was borderline clowney/bridgewater

I've started leaning towards JFF lately tho.

That was a very entertaining qb camp. Even my gf sat and watched it with me.

Loved the comment by Gruden that the people who say he can't read a defense can kiss his ass.
