I find all of this led us to a first round playoff win talk to be pathetic. If we are going to compare like that then it is championship or bust. At least wc champs. That is why dream will always be first. But it is dumb if we are going to look at everything so bluntly as to which player won four games in the first round of the playoffs.

You're telling me harden would have fared better against the mavs and the officials? Dirk would have lit his ass up if he tried to guard him. He cant get away with being short against a a player like dirk who makes a living shooting over defenders. Go look at tracy's playoff numbers and tell me harden woulld have fared better against the jazz.

Do you honestly believe harden would have taken the championship pistons team who beat the star studded Lakers to 7 games?

But looking at things objectively like that is too smart for some of you.

People tend to forget how good T-mac was....He had his lazy moments, but I believe he's the best until Harden earns it. Clyde was on the decline and clearly the best overall guard of the 3, but we are talking about the best ROCKETS 2 guard.

    Think its T-Mac

People around here kills me when discussing individual accolades for these players when it's a team sport. All because Tracy's team never advanced past the 1st round shouldn't be a knock on him tinman. That young fella was a freaking beast period whether you want to admit it or not sir. When Tracy was the man in Orlando he was the NBA leading scorer, his only help was Armstrong bwhahahahahah. Dudes numbers went up in the playoffs bruh, his teammates didn't step up.

Harden will be the better player if he continues to do what he is doing now. But we all know injuries could derail a players career in the blink of the eye. Ask Penny Hardaway, Grant Hill, Derrick Rose and even Tracy McGrady.

Way to soon to crown harden. But he is headed there if he takes care of the ball and d's up.
Id like to see him add more to his shot rather then relying on a cross pump fake then shoot. He should have the state of mind to get up and pull anytime.

Those are things tmac excelled in, the ability to effortlessly score which i credit to his athleticism (hardens weakness).

Clyde's best years were in Portland so that means Harden is easily the best two guard in Rockets history.

T-Mac's problem was he couldn't play with a team.

after re-watching Tmac's 13 in 35, I have concluded that ryan bowen and scott Padgett were the main reasons why we won that game, without Padgett's elite defense Brown would not have lost the ball

True, they were. But look at all that Clyde could still do at a very high level when he got here.

Drexler was so good , that 75-80% of the younger version , was good enough to get us there.

Handle the ball, be a facilitator/get to the hoop, run the break, still hit the boards, stick the J, go to guy/closer at times, HALF COURT POST UP GAME, GREAT DEFENSE...Clyde had all this.

Here are all the guards or forwards that averaged over 23 points a game since 1980. Notice the true shooting percentage. Barely over 50 percent is JR Smith territory. Tmac was a chucker which is why he never won anything. He would have so hot games which is what the nut huggers remember, but I remember him having games that he would miss is first 10 shots and still chuck up another 10.

Do you think Franchise would have become a great Rocket if Rudy never left, and he was allowed to continue to do his thing?

From now on, every time someone brings up 13 in 35, I will show this stat line.

Tracy McGrady on 2006-02-12 against the Knicks went 3 for 20 for a whopping 7 points. He jacked up 20 shots and score only 7 points.

This is why it's best to look at stats on average instead of looking at one or two games.

Earlier this year Harden had some real dud games in which he went 3-17 and 3-14. But it doesn't really mean much when you look at his season overall.

I think when it's said and done, Harden will probably be the best Rockets SG of all time. Hope we get a championship or 5 in there. ;)

I know all the Tracy fans will make excuses for the few years he played here and the few games he actually played. You realize he's never played at least 80 games in the regular season ?
He's never led any team to anything, not because of his talent, he's not a good leader. Period.

Not scoring leader, leader of the team when things go bad. Mario elie tells how Hakeem was so calm and confident that it rubbed off on the team.

Tracy never even led his team in china to the playoffs.
That's pathetic . Even at his old age, he's way better than any of those Chinese players. But his team quickly realized he's playing for the adulation of his Chinese fans not his team.

Marbury led his Chinese team to a championship . Marbury is a better leader than tmac ever was.

Standards are low with the mcgrady fans . Glad harden will raise our standards .

Nobody has mentioned harden in Oklahoma City, but the lemmings talk about Orlando tmac all the time.

At least with harden we can talk about what will happen not make excuses for what didn't happen.

Keep showing these fools what a true rocket fan is Rockbox. Never stop

Well if he gets 3+ rings as a Rocket, he will be the best Rocket of all time in my books. Hakeem will probably stay the best player that Rockets ever had, but simply by bringing 3 chips, he brought the most success for the team n franchise, therefore he has to be the best Rocket.

I don't measure players by rings, since there were lotta great players that didn't end up winning, due to the team, rules, competition or circumstances, but when we talk about franchises you have to mention how many times they won.
