You know what would be a chilling cold open: A shot of Mary butchering off a slab of meat, cut to: the scene of the gang walking up to her working the Terminus grill and the greetings being exchanged, cut back to: the source of the removed piece of meat, slowly scroll up...and the reveal: Beth hanging from a meat hook. Cue creepy TWD opening credits music.

Only problem is, it's pretty much 100% certain that whoever kidnapped her was the home owner, right? They went out of their way to show us that somebody inhabited that house. And he was a PB&J and pigs feet guy, not human flesh.
Its pretty obvious that Terminus isn't what it seems. If it was , there goes the plot and there isn't much of a story to tell.
i wouldn't say that. i don't see any indication that it was the home owner guy that took beth. how would he even know it was her that took his stuff? i'm not saying that it isn't him, but there isn't any evidence to suggest it. i guess he could have checked her bag for his stuff, but why would he kidnap her? maybe he works for terminus by kidnapping people and selling them to terminus, but doesn't live there because he doesn't want to be a cannibal also... back when they found the bodies all dolled up in makeup beth was saying it was beautiful. i wouldn't be surprised if they reveal that it was actually something dark and twisted at beth's expense. He saw her running out of his house, I'd guess. Working for cannibals and selling bodies seems like a bit of a stretch. Finding gainful employment in the nascent stages of the zombie apocalypse doesn't seem like it would be a priority, not to mention, what would he be getting paid in?
food? maybe they spared him in return that he works for them? maybe he gets to father heypartner's baby farm? i dunno
that's possible. It was definitely a kidnapping. Who knows who, but a person trying to save her would have stopped for Daryl once she started screaming for him. btw: I've replayed that scene. The reason I think it's a Funeral Parlor limo is because it was indeed a Cadillac, and it had a cross in the back window.
But, who is the funeral guy? Is it that old dude from the Phantasm movies...or maybe the old preacher from the Poltergeist films? That would be pretty cool if they got either of those guys but I assume they are dead in real life by now.
I like you infinitely more after this post. Also, the idea for an open with Beth hanging on a hook would be fantastic. Which is also why it probably won't happen.

I know, seeing his head chopped of would be scarring, but what about your sibling? Baby Farm would be sweet, however Beth is more likely to become rape and BBQ fodder. Her fate may be the last clffhanger of the season. The re-population of the human species does not seem to be apart of anyone's consciousness. If that was your goal, amass a large group, got to an island (LA, FL) kill all the zombies and commence Matrix style orgy.
