I wish I actually believed that it caused you cognitive dissonance to have your party shut down the government to try and delay provisions of the ACA, then talk about the "incompetence" of the administration when they delay provisions of the ACA.
what spin! put another way, looking back, the Republicans look incredibly intelligent by asking for the common sense delay of Obamacare. The democrats stubbornly refused, causing the partial government shutdown, and lookie here, now they are delaying it themselves! The Republicans were correct -- it needed to be delayed.
And then texx doubles down by lying yet again about who actually caused the shutdown and again shows that he doesn't understand the difference between making decisions as part of a deliberative process versus trying to affect changes through brinksmanship and threats. The clown show continues, I shouldn't be surprised.
So you believe the democrats were correct to choose not to delay Obamacare previously? History doesn't favor your view. Just look at the poor results. And now the dems have delayed it themselves! have you even been paying attention?
I believe they were correct to choose not to give in to threats and to instead engage in a deliberative process to decide how best to implement the ACA. Based on your history, you either don't pay attention or just choose to ignore reality so you'll have to forgive me for laughing at your suggestion that I'm not informed. For God's sake, you could look in this very thread at the evidence which shows the exact opposite of the "poor results" you claim, but that would require that you look at facts and ignore the opinions that pundits have been spoon feeding you.
You bias knows no bounds! You think that the democrats were correct in not delaying Obamacare earlier? Do you watch the news? Now Obama has delayed it himself multiple times. Time to admit defeat.
He'll still be president. Pay no attention to the haters like texxx. ACA is now the law of the land and it will never be repealed.
Your projection is palpable, you're the one with severe bias issues. I think they were correct to not give in to hostage taking Republicans. The delays are likely the appropriate action to take, but the means the GOP used to try and force the delays were the wrong way to go about it. Such a decision should be made as a result of a deliberative process, not in response to a crisis manufactured by the GOP to try and score political points. You should take your act on the road, not only do you have the red nose and oversized shoes, but jokes, too (as if my "bias" could ever hold a candle to yours). BTW, no I don't watch the news. Television is for entertainment, that medium gave up on actual news years ago.
deliberate process? Why didn't the democrats think of that at some point over the last 3 years? time to admit defeat, bro. You were wrong.
They did, it was the GOP that acted like spoiled children, opposing absolutely everything proposed, no matter how reasonable. Forgive me if I don't accept your opinion on "wrong" given that you seem to live in an alternate dimension which doesn't even remotely resemble reality. I don't blame you, I blame the pundits who spoon feed your opinion to you, knowing that you just aren't sharp enough to actually think for yourself.
There is a lot of good that actually comes from small extensions in the deadline. If we were to extend the enrollment period to say, Jan 1, 2015, people would just wait until then. With these 2 set deadlines it has cause surges of enrollments as the deadlines were approaching. On top of all this I really do not see how these push backs are a bad thing or a tell tale sign of "OMGZ it's such a failure". All this does allow people to avoid being taxed. It is a big change in our system so having small extensions really isn't that big of a deal.
It is hilarious to me to watch him twist in the wind like that, declaring victory even as he lies because the facts just don't support his opinions. He is almost as amusing as this guy... ...partly because he isn't as accurate with the facts. At least Bob knew where he was reporting from, texx doesn't even realize that it was the GOP that forced the government shutdown! ROFL
it's the height of hilarity that Gladiato is defending Obamacare. The poll numbers speak for themselves. The GOP was proven 100% correct in their desire to delay Obamacare. One only has to look at what Obama himself has done for their proof.
lol polls show that only a rare few still think Obamacare has been a success. Gladiato and the most hardened of the "because Obama liberals". Delays, website errors, too many sick and old signing up, it's been a disaster all around. That's why the polls reflect what they do...
The hilarious part is that you actually think that I believe "Obamacare has been a success." You don't even know my position, you have to argue against the caricature that the pundits have convinced you that I am. Learn to debate honestly and stop listening to the pundits, they're lying to you and making you believe things that just aren't true.
Poll numbers are the ultimate indication of success and/or failure? Funny, you weren't saying that when Bush's poll numbers tanked. Obama refused to respond to GOP threats to create and then realized economic harm. Instead, he and his aides engaged in a deliberative process to figure out the best way to move forward. Apparently, you think that threatened economic harm is the way to enter negotiations on policies with which you don't agree. Of course, I know you would be singing a different tune if the shoe was on the other foot, which is the reason (or one of many) that I just don't take you or your ideological brethren seriously.
