So it looks like Johnny Manziel won't do personal workouts for the Texans...lowering the chances the Texans go with Manziel. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...99/?AID=10709313&PID=6149626&SID=cnxqebpo5nlq
The Cleveland Browns might not be heading over to Texas A&M’s Pro Day to check out Johnny Manziel, but it doesn’t mean that they are not interested. They will be holding private workouts with Johnny Manziel and the rest of the top quarterbacks in the draft. They will hold private workouts with Derek Carr, Teddy Bridgewater and Blake Bortles, per Mary Kay Cabot. If the Browns are looking to take a quarterback with their number 4 selection, they will do their homework on each of the top 4 candidates that are entering the draft. The Browns will also likely include workouts with a couple of second tier quarterbacks as well, like Jimmy Garoppolo and Aaron Murray. Manziel will do a private workout with us it's just BOB throwing a smokescreen and BOB has already said he's meeting with manziel privately
Manziel a pocket passer? There is still a lot of speculation in regards to which direction the Houston Texans and new head coach Bill O’Brien will go with the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. One of the options on the table is selecting Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, although that has been downplayed just a little bit by the fact that Manziel generally doesn’t fit the mold of a prototypical O’Brien pocket passer. However, O’Brien may disagree with that. “If you watch some of his games, obviously he’s a very exciting player when he breaks the pocket and he runs,” O’Brien said, according to cbssports.com. “But if you watch the Ole Miss game — I think something happened to him; he got injured, hurt his ankle or something — he came back, and he threw from the pocket in that game. If you watch him, he’s going to be able to do a lot of different things. It’s sustainable.” Link:http://fansided.com/2014/03/25/nfl-draft-2014-houston-texans-coach-bill-obrien-says-johnny-manziel-can-succeed-pocket/#!BoZd5
Google it. Plenty of links stating the texans are meeting privately with Manziel after his workout. Here's one. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...to-send-three-reps-to-johnny-manziels-pro-day
Dont know why that one isnt working anymore but here's another. http://collegesportsblog.dallasnews...-texans-send-trio-of-reps-to-am-pro-day.html/
Can't wait hope manziel really impresses BOB with his attitude and personality and not just his skills
At this point, I hope the Texans take Manziel just so I can enjoy the apoplectic meltdown of all the T-sip haters. Probably need to quote all of those '4th round' grade posts before they get edited away. With Bridgewater falling off, I think it's down to Clowney, Manziel, or Bortles. Bortles is a big risk if you miss. At least with Manziel, you can point to his success in the best conference against the best defenses. Plus, all Aggies will support the Texans for life - not the case if Bortles falls short.
Is Adam Clanton the president of his fan club? Dude slobs on his knob literally every morning at some point.
Clanton has made it pretty clear he wants the Texans to draft Manziel. They've laughed about the radio talk show comparisons to VY and the 2006 draft...but Clanton wants the Texans to draft Johnny.
private meeting is different than a private workout. have the texans privately worked out any of the other QBs?
