Patty Mills this guy could be a starter most places

Nono man I don't think you're bagging on Lin. I just think it's interesting and I see Lin as being a perfect fit for Pop's system actually. I think his low IQ plays are more of the uncertainty in what he's supposed to do rather than having low BBIQ actually. It's his personality that is holding him back imo not his BBIQ.

Anyway nah man I respect your view that Brooks and Mills are better players than Lin but personally I rate Lin higher that is all. Defense-wise it is not even close imo and offensively once Lin is out of his funk he is the better offensive player. My biggest gripe with him is confidence and consistency. But considering their respective contracts, it is a no-brainer of course.

 

He earns more dough than any of those crow players :grin:

 

Thats perfectly fine, Its impossible to know how a player would do unless he's put in that situation.
That wasn't me btw, the other guy is the dude that said he'd rather have Mills etc than Lin lol.

 

Gary Neal is actually playing really well now in Charlotte (probably won't last) after he really sucked with the Bucks. But Neal in 2 examples is showing how fit and system can matter, might similarly show what is aiding Mills's performance.

Mills currently can be good enough to start on a handful of teams, somewhere between Aaron Brooks and Darren Collison level. There's just a lot of point guards in the NBA now. Patrick Beverley and Reggie Jackson can start on contending teams, but doesnt mean they're anywhere near elite, just very servicable.

 

Can he defend anyone?

 

I'll probably pick him second in my intramural team.

Mills was injured and the chinese team was underhanded in cancelling his contract.

 

If in the short term future we end up moving Lin in order to get Love or Melo, Mills would be a good back-up.
