I'd be happy with Garoppolo in the 3rd round I think. I'd have a hard time seeing him start any this year (coming from an FCS school), but with some good coaching could perhaps come into next year and win the job.

He would seem to be a lock to be there in the 3rd round, meaning you could take best available in round 1 and 2.

I'd be surprised if Garappolo is there in the 3rd. He's rising.

I think you still have to factor in scheme. The best player overall might not always be the best player for you and your system.

I think it's also very much in doubt that Clinton - Dix is there in the second. I've been seeing him between about #15 - #25 overall, generally the first safety off the board. It's not impossible, but I don't think likely.

That doesn't sound like a coach that's in love enough with one of these quarterbacks to draft one with the #1 pick. And it sounds like he may not be drafting one in the second round either. Tom Savage is a later round prospect O'Brien may have his eye on.

There's not much difference in these outside pass rushers either (especially when trying to convert a DE into a OLB) but that seems to be the most hyped up position in the NFL.

I think both he and Pryor will be off the board in the 1st. The safety position is becoming more important. But there are some other good safety prospects as well like Ahmad Dixon.

A very interesting vibe coming from the Texans. It sounds like they are trying to prep the fan base for the possibility of either trading down or not selecting a QB until the 2nd or 3rd or possibly a combination of both.

Well, draft him #1 and you'll find another one's already on your D-line, damnit!

Texans will not show their cards this early. Showing any favoritism to any QBs or any position, does that. They have given fairly safe answers, not overly praising anyone.

again...they have to hype up Clowney...it's their best opportunity for a trade, and that's what they really want to do, in my opinion.

pretty much the ideal scenario...but unless Atlanta is gonna mortgage their future, i expect the Texans to just pick him bc he is the BPA...

Maybe they want their choice of QB? Worst case scenario for them, they only really like 1 or 2 of the QBs and the Texans and Jags both take one, meaning that the guy they really wanted is off the board at #4. Washington traded up from #6 because they didn't like anybody after the top 2 QBs. Now, it's not the same caliber of prospects in this draft, but we wouldn't demand as much as what St. Louis got. If Cleveland is desperate for a QB, and they should be, and they really only believe in one guy, it's quite conceivable that they'd want to trade up to ensure they get him.

don't think it's about hyping up any one player as it is talking up everyone so that teams aren't sure what we will do, and if they have their eye on someone they may get nervous and try to trade into the #1 spot
