On a side note, was that the same actress who plays Beth that was killed on "The Following" last night as one of JC's followers? Originally, I started watching "The Following" when it debuted but I lost interest. Then, for whatever reason, I was sucked back in when I happened upon it during a Season 2 episode. I still find it kind of ridiculous how this JC guy is outsmarting everyone for so long but whatever. The actor is great in the role and so is Kevin Bacon in his role. Back to The Walking Dead discussion... .
I think we should keep this TV and leave comic and video game spoilers out. I did not know Terimus was a cannibal place. From the sneak preview after the credits, I could tell it was bad but thought more along the lines of a tortue place or something. I definitely didn't know what Terimus was before that.
Nope, but: Spoiler if they stumble on a church with a priest named Gabriel you can bet there will be cannibals.
There is no Terminus. This was discussed and argued (wrt being a spoiler) ad nauseam several pages ago. People decided that spoiler-ing speculation talk is not required, so the consensus quickly became, it's cannibals. That said: many believe that is too obvious, so expect the unexpected in the Finale.
That's a convenient way to phrase the question to pretend that this thread hasn't become littered by spoilers. Some may call it "splitting hairs". How about "Wait, are there a group of cannibals in the comics?"
"The consensus" quickly became "it's cannibals" because the consensus read the comics and there are cannibals in the comics.
you realize that for all your b****ing you actually just revealed a huge spoiler from the comics, right?
Here's my problem with Terminus. I walk in there freely with weapons and no guards anywhere. I see one lady making BBQ of whatever the meat source is. I kill the lady, eat the BBQ, and take over the place. Thank you very much. Now, I have a new home. There is no way that every group that goes to Terminus would walk in there peacefully. Look at the group Daryl is with. Or, maybe, the guards were all hiding at points in the buildings ready to snipe if it came to that. Just seems strange she was the only one there to greet them. I guess everyone else was in morning mass?
Uh, no. I've never read comic books. That spoiler was revealed and confirmed and re-affirmed for like the past 2 or 3 pages, buddy boy. It's like, all anybody has been talking about and stuff.
I may be mistaken but weren't you the one constantly posting and "accidentally" quoting further spoilers in the Breaking Bad thread???? I know you were key in another annoying tiff that lasted several pages of off-topic bs.
Nope on the 1st part. Probably on the latter part. Good to see you being instrumental in making sure this thread stays on topic and not perpetuating another annoying tiff though. Also, please note that Angkor Wat shares my same sentiments, as I'm sure many other lurkers do, who are scared of being flamed by you meanies. So let's not just focus on me, mmmkay?
Oh. Sorry. Then can you kindly clarify your post and explain how I was supposed to know that the sanctuary is a trap run by cannibals, if I don't read the comics or play the video games?
Welp it was fun while it lasted, commenting and speculating what will happen next until i read all the comics post about terminus. Guess i'm not reading this anymore. Peace
I know. I didn't read the comics either. I thought the sanctuary would be a highly protected Dr Strangelove-esque, post-apocalypse mine shaft where people could have sex again to make babies, with solar energy to power air conditioners and sound studios to form rock and hip-hop bands, again. I had dreams of Beth head banging to Daryl's lead and Michone tweaking to Georgia hip-hop. I guess I'm just too much of a dreamer. Then I remembered the movie Delicatessen, and I became sad, again.
My favorite part of the comics is where they roll out the zombie dragons. Hopefully terminus is housing said zombie dragons. Oh wait Spoiler no one likes cardpire
Yup, people who weren't smart enough to know that it was a gang of cannibals obviously thought that it was what you described.
read my entire post I said they might being trying to make something that is predictable(cannibles) at this point and try to make it unpredictable
