And I find it annoying when he says "____ was a number 1 draft pick." when he should say "____ was a first round pick."

I'm thinking the reason the Rox brought Dwight here and are paying him 20 million plus a year is to be more effective in the post against playoff competition. Dwight has better hands and athleticism than Asik so he is still an upgrade offensively over Asik, but I'm just afraid force feeding Dwight in the post will really hurt the Rox in the playoffs. I agree that Dwight should focus on PnR but he's appears to have to much pride to focus more on PnR and wants to prove he's a good post player, which he is not.

I think he was a bit rusty. I saw 3-4 missed 1 - 3 foot shots and a couple of turnovers.

The nba won't let a true big man play like one consistently... Zach Randolph has a soft touch to shoot a jumper and so does Al Jefferson but Dwight doesn't he's more of a Shaq style so when he plays with strength it's a offensive foul in today's nba.

You are taking up space on this board that I don't need. In other words, you are a complete waste of my time. Welcome to my ignore list.

yup, i mentioned in another post he has to listen to all the games JVG Hubie and Mike Breen have done....he's not as funny as JVG nor is he as technically accurate as hubie, Mike Breen is a good mix of humour and accuracy

This is pretty much a typical Dwight game in the post against solid post defenders. Steven Adams had him missing gimmes and turning it over in the post.

We need to follow our pride as rockets fans and realize if Asik is our starting center then we need another superstar/allstar player at another position next to Harden to actually win it all. If Howard can play to his highest potential on defense then what you said could work for Howard as long as he does what Asik doesn't do consistently and at all. CATCH THE BALL AND MAKE ALLEY OOPS LOL

If you're going to use JVG and Hubie as standards, that's not really fair.

There are VERY few broadcasters that can match JVG's likability and Hubie's excellent breakdowns when it comes to watching basketball.

I actually pay attention to JVG and Hubie when they start going off topic... I can't say that about every basketball broadcaster in the NBA.

Howard can do what Asik doesn't do because he has better hands and athleticism. He's an upgrade over Asik but is just stubborn and not playing to his strengths enough. Posting up is not his strength obviously.

At the same time, we know what we can get from Asik. We don't expect him to give us points on post-ups. We ask him to set hard screens on the perimeter to free up Harden and dive for those rebounds. He doesn't turn the ball over; he's steady.

It's up to the coaches to utilize Howard smartly. If we see him struggle against our opponent, I would go for playing Asik down the stretch more.

We would need that intimidation factor in the playoffs. Seeing Howard turn into powderpuff is not intimidating; it is comedy and downright disheartening to our own team.

Easy solution --- don't listen at all to the HOU broadcast.

I thought not showing up to the Chicago game was just as bad, but those games are becoming less and less frequent.
