Well everyone that has signed on to him being either the next Aaron Rodgers or next Joe Montana is saying exactly that. It has nothing to do with Clowney, claiming that a meh QB prospect like Bridgewater is the next Joe Montana or Aaron Rodgers is just insanity. It really is like dealing with a bunch of mad men dying of thirst in the desert chasing mirages around here.
nfl draft site compares teddy bridgewater to aaron rodgers.. you interpret it as "teddy bridgewater is the next aaron rodgers." clutchfan member says teddys pre nfl career shares a few similarities to joe montanas pre nfl career. you interpret it as "teddy bridgewater is the next joe montana." the problem here is you putting words in other peoples mouths when you cant grasp simple ideas of comparison. you can compare clowney to julius peppers all you want doesnt mean hes going to be the next julius peppers..
actually one of the few times gruden doesnt seem to be pumping sunshine or talking to a 5 year old. he just let teddy get on the board and theyre talking playbook. watched the manziel one and they were talking about drake and lebron..
I guess you just haven't been paying attention, or more likely have only been paying select attention (probably how you came to be a Teddy Bridgewater fan in the first place) and are just ignoring those who have come out and flat out said that he's going to be the next Aaron Rodgers or Joe Montana. I'm not putting words in anyone's mouth, apparently you just haven't heard them. When I say that Clowney is the best defensive prospect since Julius Peppers, I mean that I think he'll be as good or better in his NFL career than Julius Peppers was/is. Clowney IS the Julius Peppers/Peyton Manning/Andrew Luck generational talent pick, so I can make that comparison without it sounding insane. Bridgewater MIGHT be the best QB in this draft, but is nowhere near that level of a prospect so of course you'd want to slither away from any over the top predictions or proclamations about him.....evidence that even you know it's BS.
Nick Foles wasnt viewed as 1st round worthy. Lots of people look foolish now. So called experts are wrong every year and the ones who said Teddy B is not top pick worthy will look foolish also.
Absolutely, if Teddy Bridgewater becomes the next Aaron Rodgers then I'll be the first to admit I was wrong.
I have one concern about teddy bridgewater that isn't discussed much. He wears wr gloves, which I am totally okay with. But, Teddy can not use wr gloves during a game a wet game because it is hard to grip a wet football with wr gloves. Therefore, teddy has to use his bare hands to throw the football. From what I have seen teddy is not as accurate when throwing bare handed. I am basing him not being accurate bare handed on his pro day. If he is drafted by the texans then he will play 8 games in perfect conditions. The other 8 might not be in perfect conditions. The big question is will he be able to perform in a major game when it is raining or snowing and the season is on the line?
Well to be fair they've only shown like 5 minute clips of both sessions. We don't know what the full episode is going to be like.
Who was a 3rd round pick. Bet you won't guess what some of his knocks were. They've got more similarities as collegiates than you give him credit for. Then again you give him credit for jack squat.

How awesome would it be if Bridgewater fell to about pick 20 and the Texans traded up to get him to go along with Clowney? I would be supper pumped going into next season.
In ten years time the NFL is liable to throw McNair and Smith in jail for robbery if that happened lol
That would be pretty cool, he'd be a good value at #20, but it would depend how much it would cost to move up, if it's a 5th and our 2nd then I'd do it, but no more than that.
Not sure if you've read thru this thread much, but this issue has been beaten down to death. He wears gloves, yes. Wide receiver gloves on top of that. But do you really think that any NFL team that chooses Teddy as their QB isn't going to fit him with his own pair of custom gloves that will conform to any type of weather? The way Peyton's, Roethelisberger's, Rivers', and Warner's were... I'm pretty sure that's a very minor issue that will be easily fixed at the pro level.
You do know that it takes more than a #5 to move from 33 to 20 right? I think the Texans gave up their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th to move up to get Babin one year.
