So your argument is that those teams are not "national powerhouses". Ok, I will agree with you. But by that definition the SEC still has more "national powerhouses" than any other conference. I am not sure what you are trying to argue here.

The SEC is the best college football conference. There is not a sensible argument that can contradict that

They have LSU, Alabama, and Florida as there major programs. Each of these 3 schools has won a title game within this past decade. Everyone else is pretty good.

Auburn, is finally turning back into the powerhouse it once was in terms of talent and title game appearances. But just because your middle teams are pretty good middle teams, doesn't mean your conference is stacked top to bottom.

They're extremely top heavy and that's why you all see them as power houses. I didn't include A&M because they were in the Big 12 for the past decade.

You neglected Auburn which also has a national title in your time frame. You also neglected to mention that during the past decade 2003-2013, the SEC has won 8 NCAA championships. Big 12 1, ACC 1, Pac-12 1.

So the conference isnt as good because the top teams are too good?

jon gruden just said on @SportsCenter that teddy bridgewater is Top 3 in terms of football IQ of all the qb's he's had to his camp.

@UofLFootball: Jon Gruden says key for Teddy Bridgewater "is going places"” WTH does that mean?? #L1C4

I can honestly say that you are either ignorant or an idiot.

If you read the second paragraph, perhaps a little more carefully, I did not neglect Auburn. I pointed out that they are regaining their top football college status, first with Cam and now this year with their defense/running game.

Yes they have and the majority of those are won by Alabama, LSU, Florida, and Auburn.

They are GREAT at the top, no doubt about it, but just because they have pretty good other yes in the middle doesn't mean they're stacked top to bottom.

Oh and since Florida is part of this powerhouse conference I'm guessing Teddy'sbowl win against them counts as something, now. I know in other arguments it wwouldn't count for jack ****.

I did read that you mentioned Auburn, but you still failed to mention them in your list of teams that have won titles in the past decade. Thats all I was pointing out. No ignorance here.

How exactly are you judging conference strength from top-to-bottom?

As I said earlier, The SEC is the best college football conference. There is not a sensible argument that can contradict that.

Its one of the knocks on Bridgewater is that he did not face stiff competition like the SEC. Flash21 is arguing that the SEC is not a deep as everyone makes it out to be. Which i happen to think is foolish.

But I can see now that i may have contributed to a thread derail. Argument over.

This interview was on ESPN SC today?

I'll have to catch it when I get home.

I know last year they ran Jon Gruden's QB Camp Special but all I've seen so far have been the individual clips of him interviewing guys like Tahj Boyd.

I didn't say they weren't the best. I said they were top heavy and not as deep as people make them out to be.

They have 4 great programs and the rest have been meh. For the most part.

No I only saw the link that endoftheworld shared a few posts up. It was only 4 minutes long, just a preview of the full thing I imagine. Not sure when ESPN starts airing the full ones.
